Au cours des années passées, j’ai pu acquérir une grande expérience dans le développement et le suivi prophylactique des systèmes de personnalisation de cartes plastique / bancaire.
Au sein de la société AXYTEL devenue OBERTHUR CARD SYSTEMS, j’ai eu en charge la direction technique de l’entreprise avec l’encadrement d’une douzaine de personnes.
J’ai pu durant cette période mener à terme plusieurs grands projets commerciaux et techniques.

La société FRANCE INFORMATIQUE & TECHNOLOGIE m’a ensuite offert l’opportunité de diversifier mes compétences.
J’ai ainsi pu mener avec succès les missions techniques qui m’ont été confiées, amélioration des MTBF, organisation, planification et optimisation des opérations d’installation et de maintenance. Les résultats concrets ont principalement portés sur une diminution notable des interventions, ainsi qu’un abaissement considérable de la consommation de pièces détachées.

As a system specialist, I helped NBS for the development of the double side high speed printer, IMX2+. Most recent firmware versions for this system were finalized with my cooperation, flipper / magnetic encoder management, data input.
On NBS Horizon, I introduced NBS with the concept of the tandem PC for smart card CPE.
The tandem PC concept was developed to handle smart card complex applications such as EMV. The first PC being dedicated to manage system hardware and data flow, second PC being in charge of programming operations carried on the chip.

For all NBS personalization systems, I wrote technical literatures including personal notes regarding machine operation. This particular aspect being very important for operators as they could find an easy guide to common personalization issues.
Associated to this last point, a major role consists to train operators as well as customer engineers.

In 1985 I had the great opportunity to head the beginning and the growth of a new company, AXYCARTE, subsidiary of AXYTEL GROUP, which became some years later OBERTHUR CARD SYSTEMS.
For this company, my position involved me in two major services.
Production and technical services. I headed both of them.
Most of equipments were Data Card systems. Also included Bull CP8 smart card personalization machines. Up to 12 Data Card embosser / encoder including DC-1500, DC-4x00 and Data match 2500 were used. By the end of most of these systems life, we started renewal with DC-9000. Due to high reliability provided by these equipments, the role of my team was mainly to establish a PM schedule in regards to the very intensive use of the new machines (24/7).

Deep knowledge for all listed equipments was required as downtime was not allowed due to highly competitive market. At this time, AXYCARTE was the only company in France to be completely independent from its suppliers in terms of maintenance.
