PARIS

En résumé

I am a camaleon composer : I like to enter any style of music and make it my own. For instance, I can compose classical, jazz, funk, rock, western, reggae, salsa, samba and more styles of music with equal enthusiasm, as you can hear in this website. I compose music for "itself", for TV, movies and videogames.

Born in 1974, trained in several music schools near Paris, I have been playing and composing music since the age of 9. I have studied classical and jazz piano, learnt classical guitar with followers of the great guitar master Alberto Ponce, and among them, with Roland Dyens. In 1991, I won the 1st prize, 1st grade, unanimously, in classical guitar interpretation at the International Competition of Ile-de-France (Paris region). I also play the electric, electroacoustic and bass guitars, and am familiar with playing drums.

In 1986, I found a band, which activities included original compositions and some reprises of the most popular rock bands of the 80' (U2, The Police, The Cure, etc...) as well as jazz standards, especially from Thelonious “Sphere” Monk. It was a very good experience, first of all because I began to developp then my craft as a composer, in "stand alone mode" and also in collaborative mode. And also because I got familiar with the electric and bass guitars, with the drums and finally I learnt to sing with a band.

I sang in several chamber choirs as a tenor. Especially, I sang three years under the direction of Jean-Yves Altenburger, a disciple of the Rumanian director Sergiu Celibidache.

Fascinated by jazz and enthusiast imitator of the trombone and the trumpet, I also sang as a voice leader in jazz sessions, in Paris, San Salvador, Brasil and at the Cave 54 club in Heidelberg, Germany, where, as a jazz vocalist, I learnt to sing, scat and improvise among outstanding musicians from Mannheim and Darmstadt Musikhochschulen, as well as from Australia and the United States.

Today, I compose music for TV, movies and videogames. I created the original score and directed the sound design of a film made in El Salvador by the rock singer Pamela Robin, “Al séptimo día”. I also composed the original soundtrack of Salvatore Petrosino's movie, Crossroads, both of them of classical craft and inspiration. Later on, I made the sound design and scored video games such as Waco and Donut Story. Recently, I have scored some French TV programs such as Complément d'Enquête and Dimanche+.
