Business Development Manager
•In charge of the business development for DHL Exel Supply Chain in the North and Equatorial Africa.
•Previously based in Luanda, Angola, working as a team leader on a study project in reorganizing the logistical, warehousing and transport of the Angolan Army.
•Was also based as an operation general manager in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, ensuring that DESC offers the best service to clients by clearing, and delivering cargo within reasonable period.
-Responsible for a 3.4 Million euros financial budget.
-Established the team members’ performance measures and quality assurance processes, which clarified output and quality expectations.
-Coordinated the work of the team to ensure that goals are achieved, conducting group reviews on performance to agree improvement.
-Ensured that all staff worked in a safe and efficient manner to provide a quality service to our clients.

2003 - 2004

•Different missions were carried out in the country for periods of three months at the time, in order to implement the International Standardization Organization (ISO 9000) to this transport company, the leader in its field. This mission involved an in depth study of the various processes in existence in the different fields of the company organization, its management, its quality service, as well as its workshop. The certification ISO 9000 was awarded in October 2004.

•In charge of a number of operational and distribution plants: fresh produce foods, supermarket produce and clothing as well as the development and restructuring of five warehouses (25.000m²) responsible for a profit center representing 12.5 million Euros.
•Responsible for a team of five managers, 25 office clerks, 200 workers, and a fleet of fifty trucks.
•Coordinator of the renovation of the plants and material in order to upgrade them to European standards.
•Responsible for setting up a distribution strategy for the expanding supermarket chain and the supervision of long distance distribution, wholesaler and retail distribution as well as dealing on a day-to-day basis with local suppliers.

1991 - 1997

•Sales director responsible for operations of the Menswear department for the American based company BURLINGTON INDUSTRIES, Inc.
•Developed and implemented the strategic and operational plans of the international subsidiary’s Menswear division by creating the Menswear fabric range focusing on creativity, styling, marketing, and distribution.
•Developed and implemented international market entry strategies throughout Western and Eastern Europe, Far East, Middle East, and Africa.
•Managed a team of 32 agents world-wide, as well as a technical director, two sales managers and five regional sales executives.

•Launched the new top luxury cloth brand «AUDEMONT» subsidiary of CHARGEURS, in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
•Supervised the overall sales network by traveling extensively and visiting agents, customers, and wholesalers.
