In charge of Channels, Commercial Market segment & Marketing for the Emerging countries
Manage a team of 14 individuals to cover 3 areas:
- Controller for the Emerging Channels: $4.3B revenue. Responsibilities include governance, contract reviews, incentive programs ($170M), forecast, audits.
- Controller for the Commercial market segment: $1.3B revenue. Responsibilities include P&L management, Return on Investments, Go to Market validations, forecasts.
- Controller for a $44M marketing budget. Responsibilities include budget optimization, investment prioritization across the Theater, ROI measurement
2006 - 2009- Maintained high standard of overall business governance in a very fast growing environment (45% year over year growth): Set Finance function as true business partner of the Area Vice President and his Management team; build and coach a strong Finance team; educate the sales force (headcount doubled in 18 months); define and implement new procedures.
- Follow up the setup of Cisco legal entities in new markets
- Manage a $120M yearly expense budget. Review business cases to make investment decisions based on short term and long term strategies in the different countries and vertical markets. Set procedures and control mechanisms
- Review and approve complex deals. Occasionally provide support to the field in tough negotiations with customers.
- Responsible for all the financials: budgeting, closing and reporting to the HQ. Provide key analytical metrics to drive the right business decisions at the right time.
- Support the set up of a strong indirect selling model and execute new financing initiatives (risk pool, leasing, extended payment terms financing…) to facilitate the growth
2003 - 2006Member of Cisco Systems France Management team.
- Responsible for the overall financial matters of the French subsidiary: Profit & Loss Management, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis to help Sales VP and his Management team measure and manage their sales area
2000 - 2003- Management of a 7 people team responsible for the complex sales opportunities validation and approval. Responsibility starts with RFP analysis and ends with contract signature.
- Tight partnership with the EMEA President and the Finance Director to best mitigate the company exposure and make sensitive business decisions.
- Responsible for the virtual team process around complex sales opportunity Management. Drive constant communication and strong partnership with EMEA Sales Area VPs, Finance Controllers, legal corporate councils, Logistics and Tax Managers, Product Marketing Managers...
