• Petronas - Management Reporting, Senior Executive

  Trappes 2012 - 2012 Prepared management reports and board papers for Petronas’ downstream petro-chemical group of companies (manufacturing and marketing industry)
  - Performed analysis of financial, operational and sales data by group and business segments in order to prepare monthly and quarterly management reports for the perusal of Management Committees and the Board of Directors.
  - Coordinated and consolidated the group’s 2013 budget and prepared analysis to gauge the reasonability of the budget and ensured that it is in line with the operational plan in 2013.
  
  Key Achievement:
  -Designed a user-friendly Excel template for budget data input that can be directly consolidated for data analysis via Excel’s Pivot function.

• Petronas - Joint Venture Accounting, Senior Executive

  Trappes 2010 - maintenant Oversaw financial matters relating to Petronas’ international upstream non-operated blocks in Chad, Cameroon, Algeria and Canada
  - Worked together with the engineers overseeing the same portfolio to resolve problems (financial, legal and public relations-related) on a daily basis.
  - Performed financial analysis and prepared presentation slides on financial results
  - Reviewed commercial contracts and proposed clauses to be re-negotiated
  - Finance representative of Petronas in attending annual financial committee meetings and tax submission meetings
  Supervised daily accounting matters (e.g. Review of cash calls, joint interest billings, payments for cash calls in different currencies, royalties, export duties etc.)

  Key Achievement:
  - Successfully decreased the budget forecasted by partner companies by working together with engineers and rationalising the budget in detail. Part of the method used was in researching on past cost to estimate the acceptable budgeted amount for engineering projects.
  - Successfully prevented Petronas from having to pay late-payment penalty via good rapport established with partner companies who were paid late due to a glitch in the new centralised payment system.

  Trappes 2010 - 2010 - Audited travelling and entertainment claims, corporate purchases to ensure adherence to company policy
  - Reviewed the management reporting practices and ensure adherence to guideline given.
  

• Petronas - Project Team Leader, Development of automated time-sheet system

  Trappes 2010 - 2010 Led a project to improve time-cost allocation process by computerising it. My tasks were to
  - Source for a system developer (include cost-benefit analysis of potential developers)
  - Presented analysis results to the steering committee of the project for their final decision
  - Compiled and communicated users’ requirements.
  - Coordinated the integration of the new system with existing system/ database (i.e. HR, accounting)
  - Coordinated system testing by the users and assisted in providing technical support
  
  Key Achievement:
  - Successfully sourced for a reasonably priced system developer.
  - Successfully conducted two user testing runs before the system went live.

• Petronas - Budget Executive

  Trappes 2008 - 2010 Coordinated and consolidated the budget for Petronas’ upstream group of operations
  - Coordinated the dissemination of information and budget submission deadlines amongst all relevant parties
  - Analysed every budget submissions to determine feasibility, reasonability
  - Worked with project economists to determine project values to provide relevant information for the management’s future investment decision-making purposes
  - Prepared presentation slides for the perusal of Board Meetings and Management Committee Meetings
  - Arranged for company's funding requirements with Petronas’ Group Treasury
  
  Key Achievement:
  - Designed a financial model to perform sensitivity analysis. This model includes variances like crude prices, capital expenditures and operational expenditures to obtain an end-result of a desired Return on Invested Capital.
  - Successfully implemented a new budget system designed by Schlumberger by being a key team member.

  - Performed audit procedures (i.e. testing the controls processes, interviewing clients involved in controls processes)

  Key Achievement:
  - Part of a team for one due diligence on a possible case of fraud. Brainstormed for more unconventional audit procedures.
  - Performed 5 seasons of statutory audits on companies from various service industry.
