  • SAKATA VEGETABLES EUROPE - EMEA Product Manager

    2006 - 2015 MISSION :
    Develop, implement, and coordinate the strategic and tactical planning of the products I was in charge of in all target markets in EMEA territory. I was looking for the maximum value and all opportunities to improve the market share and profitability.

    * Create, implement and execute the marketing plan for the assigned crops (leaves, bulbs, roots, cauliflower) ;
    * Manage the complete product life cycle of the varieties ;
    * Provide technical support to both external and internal customers (day to day relationship with sales team, distributors and customers) ;
    * Keep updated all information regards with market value, market share, trends, competition activities... ;
    * Define pricing policy and assist in the preparation and approval of the yearly forecasts ;
    * Build up product profile for the assigned crops with all key people (sales force, breeder, product promoters)

    SOME IMPORTANT RESULTS:
    Creation of the market data base for all the crops I am in charge of for the entire area (EMEA.)
    Increase of the profit of the crops by defining properly all the strategy of the development and therefore I killed one of them and upgraded 2 into our major crop list.
    Creation of marketing plans of all assigned crops (Carrots, Red beet, Spinach, Onions, Cauliflower, Bunching onion...).
    Improvement of our third party supplier relationship (development of a breeding agreement + portfolio).
    Team leader for several projects I drove up to the end (trials planning; organic seeds; ...).
    Development of the portfolio of all the crops I was in charge of along the years.
    Participation of the creation of our Sakata Open days in the Netherland.

  • ARDO S.A. - Supply chain manager

    2000 - 2006 MISSION :
    In charge of the fresh vegetable procurement. (Planning, sowing, purchasing seeds and raw materials, supplying)
    I was the intermediary between the vegetables growers and the processor in order to manage the streams of the raw materials (85 000 tons of fresh vegetables/year) from the qualitative and quantitative point of view in a BRC & IFS certified environment.


    * Control of the vegetables production from the choice of the variety, fields, growers, to the harvested period in a just in time provisioning system (3x8). ;
    * Member of the HACCP team in charge of the monitoring of the raw material and of the HACCP controls from the seeds to the beginning of the freezing process.

    SOME IMPORTANT RESULTS:
    Development of the quality control of all the raw materials, the fields and the farms.
    Improvement of all the logistic from the harvest to the shipment and the reception (65 000 tons in the beginning of the mission; 85 000 at the end).
    Definition of the purchase strategy in common with the Purchase Director and General Manager.
