Noel is a Senior Consultant in major Change Management & performance improvements with over 20 years experience in Automotive, Aeronautics, Services, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Banking and Consulting firms in Europe. His main focus has been in Operations and Headquarters functions.
As a Six Sigma Master Black Belt – Lean Expert and IRCA ISO 9001 certified auditor, Noel’s professional background includes extensive experience in managing implementation of Lean/Quality management systems. His experience also includes significant work in EFQM excellence model environments.
Noel has led design and implementation of multiple Six Sigma & Lean deployments programs over Europe consisting in management training (executives & sponsors), strategic projects selection, Belts training & mentoring (MBBs, BBs & GBs) and projects tracking.
Noel has led hundreds of Kaizen events for major Automotive, Aeronautics, Services, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Banking companies in the areas of Supply Chain Planning, Cell design, IT/Transactional, Change-over Reduction, 5S, Material Replenishment, Value Stream Mapping, etc, resulting in significant improvements in capacity, lead-time, processing time, cost, inventory, and SOX compliance totalling millions (US$/€) in benefits. He has also played a leading role in multiple strategic organization design/development efforts for major automaker suppliers.

• Built a Six Sigma / Lean Organization on a factory-wide level for a 1,400 person manufacturing site serving as Six Sigma and Lean Champion with 15 Black Belts / Lean Experts and 80 GB with the realization of 120 successful projects with an overall saving of $19 million (US$) in 2 years.
• Led project to implement process organization in multi-national manufacturing company that involved design of the process, development of administration tools and monitoring systems, and training of the employees; lead time was reduced from 4 weeks to 2 days; workload shortened 70%, inventory reduction 60%, space reduction 60% on time delivery improvement from 80 to 98%, profit margin increased to 45%.
• Led a cross-functional team effort to design a new packaging line reducing set up time by 85%, manufacturing costs by 30% and working capital by 70% versus existing line. $3.8 million (US$) savings achieved on product inventory reduction accelerating 7 times speed of product wheels.
• Led Europe deployment of a worldwide Lean Sigma program targeting $1B inventory reduction within 3 years. Over 200 Green belts, Black belts, and Lean experts have been trained and mentored with average project savings of $1 million on inventory reduction.
• Led design deployment roadmap of 10+ Six Sigma program ensuring financial benefits, assisting with project selection, ensuring integration of Lean Sigma in the Company culture, facilitating best practice sharing across the organization, assisting with project delivery and tracking of savings. 1992 - 2003Led in different European business units 80+ Kaizen events for major global manufacturing firms within Automotive & Chemical industry working identifying and delivering capability improvements through set-up time reductions, TPM, Baseline Assessments, Product Family Analysis, VSM, Kaizen events with short-term improvements ranging typically from 20-30%.
• Supported the launch of a company-wide Six Sigma deployment resulting in the training of over 60 Green belts, mentoring of projects with savings of 900 KUS$. (Average of 150 KUS$)
• Led project to implement process organization in multi-national manufacturing company that involved design of the process, development of administration tools and monitoring systems, and training of employees; lead time was reduced from 2 weeks to 4days; workload shortened 70%, inventory reduction 60%, space reduction 60% on time delivery improvement from 60 to 99%, profit margin increased to 30%.
• Led a packaging improvement project across 2 sites for a major process industry manufacturer that delivered savings of €3 million from yield (scrap reduced to 5%), inventory reduction 50% and material flow improvements.
• Led design and implementation of Asset Lean Management package for a major French professional organization, trained 100+ Lean practitioners including coaching of 75 Lean projects with average savings of $200 K (US$).

• Played a leading role in 15 automotive firms’ Site Excellence initiative that delivered third part certification and significant increases in labour efficiency.
1977 - 1992• Led Task Force Optimization Team identifying and delivering JIT techniques for capability improvements through VSM, product flow analysis, set-up time reduction, Kaizen events with short-term improvements with overall saving of $115 million (US$) in 6 years.
• Led cost control role at a 3000 person business unit identifying and delivering opportunities for cost reduction resulting in correct budget allocation and 35% expenses reduction overall saving of $40 million (US$) in 3 years.
• Led project to Re-engineer CKD vehicles European delivery chain operations (5 countries), that involved redesign of the process, development of pull system achieving on time delivery improvement from 80 to 98% and inventory reduction of $20 million (US$) in 5 years.
