This position is really dedicated to personalized service for clients who don't want to worry about the technical side of their meeting and presentation.
Even for the smallest function, having someone look after all the AV & IT details gives the client a total Peace Of Mind. It's all about communicating, anticipating and making the customer feel comfortable, whatever the place in the world and whatever the situation.
It includes but is not limited to: supervising set-up and technical team, reviewing presentations with client, preparing and operating remote presentations (thought WebEx, Live Meeting, Adobe Connect...) and programming + running Audience Response Systems & Voting.
On the technical side, we do Project Management and coordination for major corporate events. Defining the needs and goals of the impact the client wants to deliver to the audience and translating it in the AV technical language and making it happen with a team of specialists in domains such as high-end HD video-projection and soft-edge blending, LED walls, IMAG, Audio systems including Line Array and distributed sound, complex set-ups through digital mixing desks and matrix systems, Defining in association with lighting and stage designers the equipment needed to achieve the wow effect, defining rigging and trussing and last but not least coordinating all team members from load-in to load-out. * Technical direction for the United Nations touring "Yes For Democracy" project in Kabul, Afghanistan.
* In charge of all audio, lighting, video and broadcasting coordination. for this remote project.
* Air and ground logistics in cooperation with Belgian army.
* Site-visit and preperation for the same event to be held in Mitrovica, Kosovo (aborted for political reasons).
Beyond the technical challenges, this experience was rich in fields such as Human Relations and Logistics. The communication between civilain and military each one in his own system, with it's requests and obligations and the logistics involved made this a challenging but succesfull experience including satelllite video-conferencing between Brussels and Kabul to allow local students communicate with European students about democracy.
A live duplex broadcast for Belgian national televison was also set-up to cover the event that was held in conjunction with the recent election of the first democratic Afghan government.
Generations & History is a non profit organization specialised in setting-up exhibitions and events for the promotion of Democracy with the support of NATO countries government agencies.
