Manager of Development, ASG
16 contactsResponsible of the Agentless team (1 developer) : ASG DDM scanner and fingerprints, Virtualization scanners (VMWare, HyperV, Xen), ASG DDM SNMP discovery (with C# scripting)
Responsible of the TrackBird clients team (january 2010 – january 2011) and ASG DDM scanner and fingerprints (3 developers).
Customer support : participate in Proof Of Value (POV) at customer sites, travel in USA, Phone and Webex support, etc.
2004 - 2010Created the ASG DDM scanner (.NET, C#) to gather information remotely (agentless) with WMI (Windows) and SSH (Unix, Macintosh). This tools allows some C# scripts (fingerprints) to be tailored on customer needs for in house developed softwares.
I wrote the process, network communication and hardware detection scripts for all supported platform (Windows, Solaris, HP/UX, AIX, Linux, Macintosh) and some fingerprints (detection of software configuration with C# scripts).
I wrote the documents for the training of ASG presalses and ASG technical services persons. Trained our ASG technical services in Europe and USA (travel).
Participate in the development of ASG Discover.NET. The product is based on .NET and C# with command line tools, SOAP web services and a Graphic User Interface based on ASP.NET.
I wrote the network scanners tools to located hosts on the network (ICMP, LDAP, Port Scanner, NetBIOS, SNMP), the SOAP web services used by both ASG Trackbird and ASG Sentry, and the database access in ADO.NET.
Ported the GUI interface of our SNMP collector from C to .NET and C#. I wrote some WinForm GUI applications to setup the SNMP parameters (MIB database).
2001 - 2004Sofware engineer responsible of the development of the TrackBird agents (hardware and software detection) on the plateforms UNIX (SOLARIS, HP/UX, AIX, LINUX), PDA (Windows CE, Palm OS), MACINTOSH (MacOS Classic et X) and SNMP (net-snmp).
1998 - 2001As manager of R&D projects concerning granular materials shaping, I had to supervise a research laboratory. I was in charge of the development of internal competences (applied research) and external exchanges (suppliers, universities, customers). I had to:
establish the specifications of formulations and process for their applications in plants (pilot plant studies in collaboration with technical center at Salindres plant (Procatalyse) or Lyon facilities (IFP), exchanges with our customers to help them formulate their products).
give my technical expertise to cross-disciplinary projects at the formulation stage to anticipate their industrial extrapolation.
provide my team with training.
I was also involved in the Quality / Security / Environment policy of our service.
Here is a list of customers (internal/external) for which I worked:
Production of catalysts for petrochemistry (Procatalyse), fine chemistry (Rhodia Perfumery, Performance & Agro, Adisseo formely Aventis Animal Nutrition) or customers of Rhodia Electonics & Catalysis (Dow Chemical, Süd-Chemie, Engelhard).
Production of pharmaceutical tablets (Aventis) or detergent tablets (Unilever).
Production of extrudate products for agrochemistry (Novartis, Bayer CropScience formely Aventis CropScience) or pharmacy (Rhodia Perfumery, Performance & Agro).
Here is a short list of tasks, I carried out:
Management of 3 technicians team.
Quality manager for our service (handled changes to fullfill ISO 9001 Quality : personal training - procedure writing)
Redaction of 26 synthesis reports, applied for 3 patents
Setting and follow up of external research contracts : Thesis, Master
Development of a sofware to formelyse our technical assistance (Customer Relationship Management) : analysis of users requirements.
Development of a sofware to pilot scientific equipement (C, RS232)
Development of a database sofware to handle the laboratory data (4D database)
Creation of the intranet site for our service
1993 - 1994During my military service, I studied the characteristics of coatings for the Direction of Research, Studies and Techniques ("Direction des Recherches Etudes et Techniques" - DRET).
1993 - 1994During my PhD thesis, I was employed as an external examiner at the "Centre International de Valbonne" school (discipline : physical science - undergraduate students).
1990 - 1990During a five months training period, I improved my german (team language) and had to carry out the following tasks:
Development of a software for the simulation of polymerisation of MMA at high conversion (Fortran - VAX).
Study of the dissociation cinetic of nitrogen initiators.
