I am currently carrying out my third and last year of PhD thesis in organic chemistry at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France) supervised by the Pr. Christophe Len.
I will be defending my thesis in November 2017. I am looking about a research engineer or project leader position in chemistry anywhere on the world.
My thesis project focuses on the etherification of different bio-based polyols with respect to the principles of green chemistry (reductive alkylation of simple alcohol or polyols in continuous flow conditions, methylation of the glycerol in sub/supercritical methanol conditions in batch).
=> Development of synthetic methodology,
=> Optimization of reaction conditions
=> Characterization of the different compounds by different chromatography and NMR.
During my studies, I carried out internships that allowed me to improve my chemical knowledge in different areas.
=> Synthesis of different heterocycles to mimic pharmaceutical molecules.
=> Formulation and the study of chemical and mechanistic properties of different varnishs and paints.
=> Redaction ofmaterial safety data sheets (MSDS)
=> Study of the CLP and REACH regulation.
=> Sulfur chemistry using ultrasounds
=> Devulcanization of rubber.
