Stefano Maestrini
Photographe Art Comtemporain
Having studied art as a child, Stefano developed an eye for wildlife portraiture using only chalk and charcoal. It was not until his early thirties that Stefano rekindled his passion for art, when he discovered photography and began to work with several French and US press agencies. Up to recently Stefano had been one of a handful of independent photographers that were documenting the effects of human hatred in war torn zones. His photos have been published in the US, Europe and Australia. The decision to stop his photojournalistic career and return to his childhood passion for wildlife, was made upon his return from Iraq; May 2007. Since then Stefano has dedicated his time and energy to his Fine Art Photography and has returned many times to East Africa to photograph wildlife using only Black and White 120mm film.
