En résumé

Double degree engineer from Cranfield University (UK) and Ecole Centrale de Marseille (France).

Having a multicultural background, I am a globally minded person who knows the importance of communication in a team. I have acquired the ability to assimilate knowledge and adapt fast to any challenge. I have the conviction that transdisciplinary skills are needed for innovations alongside a global management vision.

In addition to my general engineering degree at Ecole Centrale de Marseille (France) where I developed my skills in various disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Programming but also Project Management, I completed a double degree in MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design at Cranfield University (UK). This experience allowed me to gain further expertise in Aircraft Design as well as general knowledge related to Aeronautics and Aerospace. Working closely for 8 months with more than a hundred students from 24 different nationalities on the design of a Civil Multi-Purpose Air Freighter allowed me to further develop my skills in Project Management, Teamwork and Leadership.

As an engineer with a diverse range of skills with a specialisation in Aircraft Design, I’m currently looking for a position in the design department which fits my engineering education or my management skills, starting in October 2015.

  • Cranfield University - MSc Thesis | Application of the High-Aspect Ratio Wing to the Existing Falcon 7X Business Jet

Bedfordshire 2015 - 2015 Project carried in the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing

FALCON 7X - is a revolutionary aircraft, introducing business aviation to the industry’s first Digital Flight Control System. Like so many other aspects of the aircraft, its DFCS drew on Dassault’s 30 years of military experience, especially its Rafale and Mirage 2000 programs. The 7X would become the first business jet to use fighter jet technology with an elegant, whisper-quiet executive cabin.

    MY MISSION
The project focuses on investigating the feasibility of integrating a high aspect ratio wing to the existing airframe of the Falcon 7X with minimum modifications in order to reduce Risk and Cost. The new development should deliver a significant Cost/Performance improvement beyond the current family of aircraft.

Detailed design of the new high aspect ratio wings - 2 wing variants are investigated : one in composite materials and one in metallic materials (load analysis, layout, sizing, FEA, flutter analysis). Comparison with the initial Falcon 7x wings. Conclusion on the advantages/disadvantages and feasibility of the high aspect ratio wings.
  • Cranfield University - Conceptual Design | UA BumbleB, Cranfield University

Bedfordshire 2015 - 2015 The UA BumbleB is the outcome of the 10-day conceptual design study performed by a team of 12 people, as part of the Initial Aircraft Design module from the MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design. The Project has been concluded by a presentation in front of the other students and members of the staff.

    Overall:
    Length: 26.93 m, Width: 36.55 m, Height: 10.05 m, Wing area: 123.6 m2
    Cargo Bay:
    Volume: 270 m3, Length: 14 m, Width: 4.2 m, Height: 4.2 m

    MTOW: 68000 kg
    OEW: 29246.5 kg
    Max Fuel Capacity: 26000 kg
    Max Payload: 27635 kg
    Engine: 4x Rolls-Royce Alison AE 1107C
Propeller: 4x5 Bladed Composite Propellers (Diameter 13.6m) Max Altitude: 35000 ft
    Cruise Altitude: 27000 ft
    Cruise Speed: 0.6 Mach
Max Range: 5000 km (MTOW with Max Fuel)
  • Cranfield University - Msc Thesis | Group Project : Preliminary and Detailed Design of a Civil Multi-Purpose Air Freighter

Bedfordshire 2014 - 2015 F-14 HERMES 2 - is a Civil Multi-Purpose Air Freighter which missions are typically humanitarian missions, oversize freight transportation, firefighting. 95 students from 24 different nationalities were involved during the design process. They are divided in 3 different teams : Structure, Systems and Avionics, which have closely worked together in order to achieve the best possible design.

    MY MISSION
Preliminary and Detailed Design of the Wings of the Short Take-Off & Landing (STOL) version of the aircraft.

Some of the tasks carried out :
    - Loading action analysis including the creation of the flight envelopes in accordance with EASA CS25 requirements and the Project Specifications.
    - Shear force, bending moment and torque diagrams
    - Wing structural layout
    - Initial sizing
    - Material selection
    - Finite element analysis (NASTRAN/PATRAN)
    - Detail Stressing
    - Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
    - Flutter analysis
    - Mass estimation
    - Airworthiness
    - CAD Model (CATIA)
    - Engineering drawings

Final Presentation to industries (Boeing, BE, BAE Systems, Airbus, etc) and broadcast in several countries.

This project has been an incredible and enriching experience at a personal and professional level. This challenge has allowed me to further develop my teamwork skills in a multicultural environment (22 nationalities constantly working together) as well as my project management skills (a hundred students working on the same aircraft). Besides the technical skills I acquired during the project, preparing the Final Presentation to the industries (static displays, posters, videos, booklets, etc) allowed me to improve greatly my management and team coordinations skills.

  • CNRS - Research Internship

Paris 2014 - 2014 SPACE MISSION EUCLID - under development by the European Space Agency (ESA). The objective of EUCLID is to better understand the geometry of dark energy and dark matter by accurately measuring the acceleration of the universe. To achieve this, the spacecraft will measure the redshift of galaxies at varying distances from Earth and investigate the relationship between distance and redshift.

    MY MISSION
In partnership with the Fresnel Institute and Marseille Astrophysics Laboratory - LAM, I took part in the development of an image processing tool (estimation algorithm based on the maximum likelihood) aiming to estimate parameters of galatic objects (notably the redshift) from their spectral projections.

    I worked on :
    - improving the existing algorithm
    - spotting its flaws, and correcting them
    - obtaining a range of results
    - estimating its precision
  • SATELEC S.A.S - Groupe Acteon - Production Operator

Mérignac 2013 - 2013 ACTEON® SATELEC designs, manufactures and distributes medical and dental devices. The company is renowned internationally for its expertise in electronics and micro-mechanics. In conjunction with national research agencies and universities, its integrated R&D Department has developed a wide range of small equipment including powerful piezoelectric ultrasonic generators, micro-motors, photopolymerisation lamps and even steam sterilisers.

    MY MISSION
Supervised by the General Manager, I took part in every position from the Supply Chain to the Assembly Department. This experience allowed me to develop my skills in Management and Communication.
