  • Danone - Food Safety Scientist

    Paris 2017 - maintenant
  • Cea Evry - Institut De Genomique - Ingénieur Chercheur

Évry 2016 - 2017 Detection and identification of microbial pathogens from complex samples (soil, water, food...) by NGS analysis.
  • Cirad - PhD studies in Food Molecular Microbiology

Paris 2012 - 2015 PhD student in Biotechnology/Microbiology in the Food Safety team at Cirad, UMR QUALISUD, Montpellier
Topic : "Comparative analysis of the microbial flora of organic and conventional foods".
  • Cirad - Trainee

Paris 2012 - 2012 Internship for Professional Master's degree, Cirad, UMR QUALISUD, Montpellier
Topic : "Comparative analysis of the microbial flora of organic and conventional foods".
  • Institute of Biology (Purpan Hospital) - Research practical trainee

2011 - 2011 Molecular characterization of Clostridium difficile.

I discovered during this internship my interest for molecular biology and my vocation for scientific research.
Indeed, I have improved and gained experience in microbial identification by culturing and non-culturing methods (DNA extraction, PCR-based ribotyping tools…), especially for analyzing anaerobic bacterial species, Clostridium difficile (an important cause of antibiotic-associated diarrhea and one of the most common healthcare-associated infections).

The main purpose of this research internship was to identify (classical methods) and characterize (molecular approaches, testing for C. difficile or its toxins) Clostridium difficile strains isolated from stool sample of hospitalized children. Indeed, C. difficile strains have the high potential in causing infection in pediatrics. It is thus essential to study the prevalence of C. difficile in pediatric patients suffering from nosocomial diarrhea.
  • St Jean Hospital (Perpignan) - Laboratory technician

    2009 - 2009 Screening patients for antibiotic-resistant bacteria (BMR).

I did my practical training of laboratory technician in Microbiology at St Jean Hospital (Perpignan, France) and had also the opportunity of working with Multidrug-Resistant bacteria (to screen patients for antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or extended spectrum beta-lactamase producers), applying culturing methods (isolating, identifying and maintaining cultures of bacteria). Through this experience, I developed my skills and gained crucial lab experience. It strengthened my desire to continue my studies in microbiology as well.
