Automating projects' infrastructure installation and developers' deliveries on multiple projects at first it was with Fabric (Only tool available at the time) but now with Ansible. Elaborating the infrastructure of projects I am on, with the needs given by the Project Supervisor from the hardware specification to the middlewares used on the project.
I am also doing the qualification of a part (Cassandra, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Apache, Java, Nginx, ...) of all the middlewares we are using. The qualification consists of few steps that are : the automatization of the installation (with Ansible), automatization of the monitoring/supervision, its securisation, benchmarking it, setting unit tests, writing documentation (How to use it, basics errors, ...), a presentation of the middleware and a training which is directed at the first levels of support.
On a daily basis I am providing High level support on different projects and providing expertise on middlewares that I am the technical advisor of.
I am also working on the management of a continuous delivery platform based on Openstack (about 500 instances). The last big operation on it was the securisation of the controllers here we needed to write scripts to test all the different services, making them work in cluster, securing the databases with Galera, ...
At the moment I am working on a project that aim is to replace the actual IT infrastructure to move on a hybrid cloud (half public (AWS) and half private (Openstack)) which final goal is to provide about +3500 instances. On the private cloud it involves working on the design, the SDN, the storage, the hardware and the provisioning.
