Jean-Noël PLANTIER has been CEO of MEDICAL SANTE since 2011, a fast-growing home healthcare company for which he has run the strategic development and the global operations.

Prior to joining MEDICAL SANTE, Jean-Noël worked for two decades at a number of multi-national pharmaceutical companies where he fulfilled several senior positions in development, medical affairs and marketing, covering various disease fields (infectious diseases, vaccine, immunology, pneumology, ophthalmology, general medicine….): Hoffman La Roche, Pfizer, Novartis and Sanofi-Pasteur MSD.

Using good leadership and analytical skills Jean-Noël managed complex projects with ambitious milestones. Moreover Jean-Noël has been able to drive the activities required to “file” compounds and to launch them at a national and international level. Through his background, Jean-Noël has accumulated experience in strategy, tactics, Key Opinion Leader management and teamwork.

Jean-Noël practiced medicine for nearly a decade in a number of hospitals in Lyon and its surrounding areas, in the medical and surgical emergency, hepatogastroenterology, internal medicine, and pediatrics departments.

Jean-Noël earned his M.D degree from the University of Lyon and he is graduated from the Business School of Grenoble (IAE).

    -Implementation of key marketing activities, brand tracking and forecasting programs to launch innovative products towards retina specialists, general ophthalmologists, GPs, Geriatricians, Opticians, patients and relatives.

    Paris 1996 - 2000 -New launch of Triflucan to expand the antifungal franchise.
    -Pre-launch of a new antibiotic (fluoroquinolone) with different customer initiatives (KOLs management, symposia, public relations, training of the sales force, promotional tools…)
    -Leading and management of the marketing team.
    -Monitoring and controlling franchise budgets, forecasts and expenses.
    -Involvement in a project team managed by a consultant company (Arthur D.Little) to define and implement a new organization in Pfizer France.

  • Roche - Project Team Leader in anti-infective field

    Boulogne-Billancourt 1992 - 1996 - Leader of a project team (Marketing, Medical, Legal) to develop and to obtain approval for new
    Indications of an antibiotic to treat children with acute otitis.
    - Design and implementation of clinical trials (Phase III) to obtain approval in France.
    - Contribution to the negotiations with Health Authorities and Ethical committee.
    - Management of different suppliers (CRO) with control of expenses.
    -Training of the field force, medical input in the marketing team.
    - Sales representative in Malta.
