  • Works with the markets to clarify new ideas or range gaps and to specify them clearly. To lead the Technical Specification sign off process.
  • To work closely with Development laboratory in Italy to provide quality technical front end guidance to ensure that new developments meet agreed specifications and objectives. Ensures that all appropriate testing is carried out to have confidence that the specification is met in full.
  • Plays a key role in In-House Trials and coordinates and manages the Field Trial process with the markets to ensure right first time launches and quality feedback to all relevant groups.
  • Initiates, develops and maintains all CT and LIC technical literature.
  • Leads the competitive benchmarking process for all CT/LIC brands ensuring high quality and effective output is produced to benefit both the central functions and market teams.
  • Work with territory teams and major CT and LIC customers in carrying out important product trials to gain new business.
  • Establish leadership of the key country technical Fleet/LIC specialists in the region. Ensures high standards of training are available in each country and trains the team in new products to be launched (and where necessary customers and distributors).
  • Audit product performance and new product/process launches in key territories to ensure products and systems are performing as expected and initiates corrective measures where needed. Develops shares and implements best practice.
  • Active involvement with International spray gun manufactures making sure that the CT and LIC businesses keep up to date with all modern application equipment and techniques, making recommendations where necessary.
  
  Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
  
  • Strong product application skills and able to quickly develop a high level of practical credibility with lead country trainers and technicians.
  • Expert practical knowledge of the Nexa Autocolor, PPG and Max Meyer CT and LIC product ranges.
  • Experienced in the delivery of Commercial Transport and LIC technical training in a multi-national environment.
  • Ability to work to and demonstrate the highest standards of technical training.
  • Strong people and communication skills with both internal staff and customers.
  • Working environment – Approx. 70% travel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Powerpoint
  • Fluent in English. Competence in written English and an ability to communicate.
  

• PPG INDUSTRIES - TEAM LEADER INDUSTRIAL LIQUID COATINGS

  Rueil-Malmaison 2007 - 2012 • To plan lab activities based on prioritized projects agreed upon with the Technical Manager, Sales/Marketing and Manufacturing. To take into account available technical resources.
  • To be the key contact for technical support (for GI cells and GI distributors).
  • Responsibility of the formulation guide through Easychrome/ Easymix, of the color tools and softwares.
  • In charge of the new and existing distributors training and maintenance. To manage also claims and help the intermix cells when needed.
  • Key player in cost savings of the GIL liquid lab Europe and interface of the EU cost saving project leader.
  • Is in charge of the GI transportation business to the GIL Marly lab transfer.
  • To integrate the requests/PMP’s and studies in technical plan in term of development and maintenance.
  • To develop tailor made products for EMEA customers (application and quality requirements) .
  • Responsible for the transfer of GI Liquid products out of automotive plants to Industrial Coatings plants as Weingarten, Valladolid and Saultain to Industrial Coatings plants (Cieszyn, Veenendaal, Manage …)
  • Fully understand product and application technologies in order to increase the added value of the pertaining product portfolio for the customers. Regular meetings with key accounts and local teams all over EMEA.
  • To develop and motivate the team by training and know-how transfer. Include co-workers in decisions and delegate responsibility. Review and update all projects with team on a regular basis in order to achieve maximum results for business.
  • To achieve all the above objectives without compromising safety procedures, government environmental regulations concerning toxicity and emissions, and to provide and maintain a safe, clean, 5S, accident-free workplace.
  
  Key results :
  
  • Active participant to gain business thanks to technical trainings at new distributors (Hodij Coatings in NL, BFB & FPS in Sweden, Mozaika-Ukraine, Larchfield & CNIT-Russia, Polimiks-Turkey …) and in new PPG GI cells (PPG Bochum&Cieszyn).
  • Consolidation of relationship with existing big accounts (Barwa-PL, Mega-CZ, PPG Valladolid)
  • Development of new technologies (1K Primers, 1K Topcoats, 1K Monocoats; 2K Primers, 2K Topcoats, 2K Monocoats)
  • Close co-operation with marketing, sales, technical assistant to develop and support business
  • Achieved replacement of Refinish primers by Industrial Coatings primers at UK Trailers customers (benchmark )
