Research skills
- My research is mainly focused on the study of the structure/properties relationship of photoactive molecules:
- Organic and organometallic synthesis of molecular dyes and photosensitive molecular arrays.
- Multi-step synthesis, purification techniques (steric exclusion, preparative thin layer, flash column silica or alumina chromatography, crystallisation, distillation).
- Air and moisture sensitive synthesis techniques (glove box, freeze-pump-thaw, vacuum line).
- Physical and chemical characterization: NMR (1H and 13C), FT-IR, UV, fluorescence, cyclic voltammetry, pulsed voltammetry, spectro- electrochemistry.
- Routine use of scientific software such as Beilstein, Scifinder.
- Good understanding of Word, Excel, Chemdraw...
- Able to work supportively in a laboratory environment with junior and senior co-workers.
