Road of Smiles

Road of Smiles was an expedition with three simple objectives: Explore. Create. Do Good.
From 29th March 2013 to 26th November 2013 Oli Goulden and Matthieu Liard travelled by bicycle from Shanghai to London through 19 countries, across four deserts and over three mountain ranges.
Along the way the Road of Smiles team created inspiring content for their brand sponsors The North Face, Wrangler, IHG, Bofferding and EcoTecWorld, on both English and Chinese social platforms.
The expedition was also supporting Operation Smile, a charity that performs surgery on children with cleft lips and palates and other facial deformities. The team attended two Operation Smile missions, in China and Italy, and raised funds for 100 children to have operations to help their conditions.
