Entreprises

  • Bombardier

Montréal (07110) 2019 - maintenant - Support Product development for Rail and Aerospace Business Units
    - Define System Engineering Processes for the development of Bombardier's future products.
    - Proposed and ensured opening of a Fab Lab for Bombardier Advanced Technology Office. The Lab is now used to build and test key functions of scaled prototypes. Improves agility and visibility of the project.
    - For an innovative product development:
-- act as Integration, Validation and Verification lead responsible to define the strategy and coordinate set-up of validation and verification capabilities (prototypes, virtual environment development platform....)
-- define product architecture of autonomous motion functions : environment sensing, navigation, guidance and control. Model Based Systems Engineering implementation of the architecture (Capella).
-- lead scaled prototype development (specification, architecture, physical design, fabrication and tests), road map and team organization.
  • Bombardier - Structures Engineer - Research and Development

    Technique | Montréal (07110) 2017 - 2018 Aircraft Structures - Research and Development Activities for Composites :
    - Developped methods and tools for composite stress analysis. Validated clients needs, programmed, verified and delivered tools.
    - Defined innovative structural virtual testing strategy for composites structures certification.
    - Managed associated projects - defined technical objectives and road maps, ensured project tracking, main achievements reporting.

Aircraft Product Development - Overall Process Optimization :
    - Defined improved processes to reduce execution time and costs of future aircraft developments.
    - Coordinated activities for the Material and Processes and Stress domains of expertises - actively collaborated with Bombardier Aerospace experts.
  • Safran Ceramics -  Poste Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) Turbine Component Design Engineer

Technique | Le Haillan (33185) 2012 - 2016 Responsible for the architecture of CMC components (turbine blades and shrouds) based on thermomechanical loads analysis, on experimental testing and on manufacturing constraints linked to composites materials.

    Definition:
    - Proposed integrated design of the components based on client needs (functions, life time expectancy, interfaces with the rest of the turbine), thermo-mechanical loadings, material properties and manufacturing constraints linked to composites materials
    - Modeled and optimized designs to minimize internal loadings (finite element analysis). Deployed multi-scale thermo-mechanical modeling innovative tools and methods (collaboration with universities). The studies have led to the choice of concepts that best meet the pre-design criteria.
    - Defined the technology demonstration strategy up to the product industrialization (Technology Readiness Level)
    - Patented designs (three patents)

    Manufacturing an Characterization:
    - Supervised prototypes manufacturing. Defined corrective actions to maximize samples quality. Ensured efficient iterations between design and manufacturing teams.
    - Identified the potential failure modes of the component and defined adapted testing (tests pyramid)
    - Deployed mechanical and thermo-mechanical tests on prototypes. Worked on the correlation between experimental measurements and methods of simulation of the testing.
    - As results, validated applied loads and testing representativeness compared to the model. Updated design assumptions with respect to the location and type of damages observed.

    Project management
    - Defined the technical road-map, objectives and timescale. Ensured reporting to clients and experts
    - Coordinated a multi-skill and multi-site team. Managed several trainees.
  • Safran Ceramics - Intern, Materials and Processes Department

Technique | Le Haillan (33185) 2012 - 2012 For CMC aeronautical turbine components designed and developed on engines :
    - monitored first steps of the production of CMC blades and developped non destructive controls (CT – scans) for material quality control and improvement.
    - designed and manipulated test campaign to identify the challenges of the blade forming at low cost.
  • Saint-Gobain Recherche - Internship, Thin Layers Department

Aubervilliers (93300) 2011 - 2012 Development of a low cost antireflection coating for building applications:
    - Benchmarking and selection of few technical solutions based on technical, industrial and cost criteria
    - Realized first samples on laboratory then pilote production lines (sol-gel and PVD solutions) and their characterizations (optics and mechanics).
  • ONERA - Laboratoire d'Etude des Microstructures - Internship

    2011 - 2011 (8 months internship, part 2/2)

Study of the microstructure evolution at high temperature under creep-fatigue loading of a Ni-based superalloy used on aeronautical engines.
    - Improved a phase field modeling of the microstructure evolution (anti-phase boundaries description)
    - Observed experimentally the microstructure evolution after heat treatment (TEM / BEM)
    - The numerical development added to the phase field modeling allowed to recover for the desired phenomena observed experimentally.
