En résumé

Bernard Rannou is the head of Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) for the Hospitality Business Group (HBG) of Amadeus, the leading provider of travel technology and distribution solutions. Backed the company’s commitment to make their technology available across the globe, Bernard directs RMS sales and development throughout the world.

An internationally recognised expert in his field, he has responsibility for all RMS functions. Beyond sales, he is in charge of product management and implementation. He is also responsible for providing customer support to over 1,200 hotel properties in 50 countries using Amadeus RMS.

Bernard began his career as an engineer conducting operational research for Air France. It was here that he developed his expertise in yield management solutions and inventory control, pioneering ground breaking solutions for the European aviation industry. He has also applied his knowledge to the rail industry, managing SNCF and Sabre teams to generate optimum pricing and scheduling for rail companies such as Eurostar and Amtrack.

In 2000, he joined Optims as the Director of RMS Research and Development. In this position, he created the first ever multi-property revenue management system for an international Resort & Theme Park. Through advanced statistical analysis, this programme was able to generate pricing and availability suggestions for regional clusters, taking into account the impact of external competition and ancillary revenues.

Following Amadeus’ acquisition of Optims in 2005, his responsibilities extended to cover RMS product management and support, as well as Central Reservation product management
Bernard is the co-author of the book 'La Gestion des actifs périssables : le Yield Management - L'example Hôtelier", published by ITA, 2005.
