I am currently global director of data analytics at iflix a SEA OTT player that provides video on demand across more than 20 markets. For the past 3years I built and lead a team of 20 people of data engineer data scientist and buainess imtelligence. We have grown from less than 800k customer to 19 million monthly active users. We have build a big data infrastructure and aeveral data products and services for the different departments and establish data governace and processes for the company. My background: In parallel of a PhD in molecular and cell biology focused on protein-peptide biochemistry related to iron metabolism, I followed an executive master program at ESSEC business school in strategy and management of health industries. To improve my english skills and discover an other country I moved to the UK in 2011 to work as a research associate at King s College London University. After 2 years and half in the research environment, I worked as Data science lead at Walt Disney International for almost 4 years. I was offered the challenge to build a data team in a start up in SEA. Being half asian, liking martial arts, being willing to learn and expend my skills and achieve new goals I joined iflix.
