  • Strasbourg University-CNRS - PhD Researcher

2004 - maintenant I'm in charge on several project in the Research Team : "Biomechanical Systems : Tranport and Safety"
    The main objectives were:
    - To assess the main injury mechanisms of the human head
    - To review and evaluate the current numerical finite element head models in the global community by creating a benchmark procedure and by comparing all models responses.
    - To develop and propose new injury criteria by reconstructing some real world accidents.
    - To develop a head injury predictive tool and to make some ISO recommendations.
    - To evaluate and to optimise some protective systems with the predictive FE head model (airbag, bonnet, helmet, windscreen…)
    - To develop a micro macro mathematical model for brain
  • Strasbourg University - PhD Student in Biomechanics

2001 - 2004 2001-2004 PhD Student in Biomechanics “Finite Element Modelling of cranium-encephalic injuries-Application on Helmet optimisation against biomechanical criteria.”

    - Development of a new 3D FEM of the human head with a detailed skull geometry including skull reinforced beams and thickness variation in order to simulate both linear and depressive fractures.
    - Validation of this FEM against existing head impacts involving skull fracture as well as a linear and a non-linear brain constitutive law which permit an accurate validation against brain deformation under impact.
    - Multidirectional validation and optimisation against biomechanical criteria of a head-helmet coupling
