    2012 - 2013 Internship in the CIP laboratory ENSCR
    Conducted under a thesis in collaboration with the company Atemax (rendering company) whose aim was to optimize the running of industrial biofilters.

    Missions:
    • Determination of the optimal conditions for biodegradation function of pH and available nutrients in treating systems
    • Determination of the influence of synthetic materials on the biodegradation
    • Proposition of degradation pathways odorous emissions.

    Wherewithal:
    • Literature review
    • Implementation of pilot (scale laboratory) to study the influence of operating parameters (pH, nutrients, materials) on the biodegradation of odorous compounds
    • Monitoring biodegradation kinetics using Gas-chromatography

    Results:
    • The results of these studies have identified the conditions that inhibit or promote biodegradation. Some of these conditions were used to optimize the degradation of odorous emissions by more than 80%.
    • Proposition of a new degradation pathways not included in the literature
  • Solvay - Process Enginneer Trainee

    Paris 2012 - 2012 Internship realized within the soda ash plant team, in order to find a solution to decrease ammoniated losses of the plant and optimize the recycling of ammonia

    Missions:
    • Identify areas of ammoniated losses the factory and estimate
    • Research the causes of leaks
    • Propose solutions to optimize the recycling of ammonia

    Wherewithal:
    • PI system (software OSIsoftware), dedicated to the operation & data logging of production.
    • Visio Software (professional diagrams)
    • Balances materials
    • PID scheme

    Results:
    • Propositions of solutions to reduce losses by 20%
    • Achievement of a Word Macro to estimate and track losses at different points of leakage from the factory in a variable time interval
