    specialized in media, publishing, entertainment, communication and IT sectors. Worldwide network.

    I cofounded the company in April 2005, with a partner who was previously in charge of media sector in a french leading asset management group.
  • PUBLIBOOK - CEO

    2001 - 2004 Publibook Editions is a very innovative publishing company, created in 2000, and based on the use of digital printing solutions. The catalogue reached 1400 titles within 3 years, with a growth of 40 to 60 new authors each month. General management of the company. Directly in charge of Finance and Human Resources Department. Directly in charge of sales departement for BtoB services. I defined the general marketing strategy and concluded the main business partnerships of the company.
    In charge with the President to sell the company in 2004. Publibook was taken over by Groupe des Editions Petit Futé during summer 2004.
  • REPUBLIC ALLEY - VP Marketing - Partner

    2000 - 2001 REPUBLIC ALLEY is a VC specialized in new technology start-up companies.
    I joined them as a shareholder but also as a VP in charge of Marketing.
    REPUBLIC ALLEY was also providing consultancy to its subsidiaries. I used to advise two companies : an interactive media agency called Chewing com (and sold in 2002 to CARAT group) and a publisher called PUBLIBOOK Editions, which I joined as CEO in may 2001.
  • ENCYCLOPAEDIA UNIVERSALIS - Strategy Director

    1998 - 2000 At that time, the company had to face a declining market for paper encyclopedia and also the rising of new and aggressive competitors such as Encarta CD ROM encyclopedia (Microsoft). Universalis had to urgently lead its "digital" revolution, which impacted the whole strategy of the company. Besides that, internet indulged the competitors to sell freely the encyclopedic content online.
    Directing Strategy consisted in completely auditing the brand and redefining the whole product policy and marketing strategy. I run market research and consumer studies, recommended a strategy to the President and the Board. Yet the job was also operational, as I had to organize the implementation of the new strategy (project manager for the new online services, training the salesforce,negociating with new sales channels...).
  • GROUPE EXPANSION (VIVENDI GROUP) - E-Business Director

    1997 - 1998 GROUPE EXPANSION held in 1998 four leading economic newspapers : L'Expansion, L'Entreprise, La Vie Financière and Courrier International.
    After the merging of HEE (see previous experience), I was transferred in Groupe Expansion to develop the online and minitel services Department including the newspapers' websites but also very profitable minitel services (stock exchange investment tools).
    Main achievements : hired and trained a team, run development and editing of the 4 websites, negociated with trade unions about the journalist's rights for online publishing, e-marketing policy.
  • HEE / HAVAS INTERACTIVE (VIVENDI GROUP) - CFO

    1996 - 1997 As CFO of Havas Edition Electronique (now named Havas Interactive), I was in charge of finance, cost control, reporting but also of human resources and legal department.
    The company was originally a CD ROM publisher and wholesaler. It developped very fast in 1996-1997 as a press publisher, but also as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) called Havas on Line.
    The company grew within a year from 0,5 M € to 3 M € turnover and from 20 to 100 people.
    I was in charge of the ISP's disposal to AOL (summer 1997). Then the company merged with Liris Interactive and was named Havas Interactive, one of the worldwide leaders of interactive entertainment.
    I was transferred to Groupe Expansion (newspapers) after the merging but remained advisor for online policy during a year.
  • ARCANDES - Co-founder and Manager

    1992 - 1996 ARCANDES was a corporate services company, with two branches : one of them provided consulting services and also temporary staff for general management to media companies and also cultural institutions, the second one provided script doctor's services for movie producers. ARCANDES, founded in 1993, is now specialized in movie production only.

    I was in charge of the first department. Most important clients : GIE Informatique du Spectacle, Comedie-Française, Cite de la Musique, Centre National des Arts du Cirque, Festival de St Florent Le Vieil, Conseil General du Jura, Elzevir Productions.
    Main missions : temporary CFO services, project manager for software development and implementation (customer database, ticketing software).
