TÜBINGEN

En résumé

I am currently finishing my PhD at the Institute for Tropical Medicine of Tübingen, Germany. I performed a part of my PhD in a partner laboratory, the Albert Schweitzer Hospital of Lambaréné, Gabon.
During my PhD, I had the great opportunity to take part to several clinical studies and notably to a phase IIb malaria vaccine trial. I enjoyed this experience and I would be now interested to continue to work in the area of clinical research preferably in the region of Mainz/Frankfurt.
I will be available in January 2014.

Entreprises

  • Institut für Tropenmedizin - PhD student

2010 - maintenant I was involved in a phase IIb malaria vaccine trial. My main work was the processing of samples (PBMC isolation, parasites isolation) and the immunological analysis of the samples (Total IgG ELISA). I also took part in the organization (compliance to GCP, SOP writing, organization of the laboratory, training).

Additionally, I had the following responsibilities:
    - Parasites culture
    - In vitro screening of anti-malarial compounds by HRP2 drug sensitivity assay against Plasmodium falciparum
    - Evaluation of cytotoxicity against human cells
    - Evaluation of the In vivo efficacy of compounds in a malaria mouse model
    - Malaria species identification by PCR and Sanger sequencing
    - Optimization of IgG ELISA
    - Scientific writing
    - Student supervision and training of technicians
  • Singapore Immunology Network - Master student

2009 - 2009 Role of the blood stage antigen MSP7 in cerebral malaria.
Techniques: cell culture, ELISPOT, Flow cytometry, Mouse experiment, Cloning
  • Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire - Summer internship

2008 - 2008 Molecular mechanisms of Antibody repertoire diversification
Techniques: cloning, flow cytometry, cell culture
  • Institut de Biologie Moléculaire des Plantes - Summer internship

2007 - 2007 Study of import of cytochrome C into plant mitochondria
Techniques: Western blot, Mitochondria isolation, transfection
