production in medical devices, diagnostics, renewable energy and high-tech materials. My
educational background includes Milano's Polytechnic (Italy), UCLA (California) and a PhD from
Imperial College, London. While completing these studies I worked with start-up companies and
multinational organization. Up to now, I have been leading teams of up to 20 engineers/technicians
and have had a maximum budget responsibility of 15M$/project.
The combination of interdisciplinary technical knowledge, creativity, hands-on attitude, international
experience (USA, Europe, Japan), management skills, leadership and my talent with people are
the perfect combination for a role in which I can supervise the tactics and the strategic plans for the
development of new products and new leaders.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND SKILLS
* Team leadership: successful creation and expansion of R&D and business development
teams. 2 promotions within the teams in the last 12 months.
* R&D management: development between the Japanese, USA and Swiss sites of a
revolutionary Nano-titre, ultra-inert plate for cancer cell studies and assay.
* Program Management: launch of 2 endovascular new products; successful management of
2 global R&D projects (budget 10M$, headcount 12 engineers, 2 team promotions)
* Cross-functional effective integration of USA, Swiss and German teams (R&D, marketing,
Quality, Production, Regulatory) for the launch of new nitinol stent.
* Excellent communication skills in matrix-like and vertical organization: technical meetings
with engineers, customer/suppliers, and reporting to VPs and president of global
organization.
* Business development: medical devices, MEMS, precision mechanics, photonics, luxury
