  • Assystem - Structures Customer Support Engineer for Airbus Helicopters

Technique | Marignane (13700) 2018 - maintenant Working within the Airframe Customer Support department of Airbus Helicopters. I help my department in a daily basis providing precise and fast repair instructions to customers via WebTek to incidents in flight, maintenance operations or any other task during the operational life of the helicopter.

Some of my main tasks include:

    - Ensure the maximum availability of the light/medium wieght civil Airbus Helicopters fleet (Ecureuil, Colibri, Dauphin).
    - Analysis and damage characterization of metallic and composite aeronautical structures.
    - Design and proposal of structural repairs for damages beyond maintenance documentation criteria limits (issuance of Repair Design Approval Sheets).
    - Direct contact with the design office, the stress department, the airworthiness section, TechData team, MRO, other ATA experts and all the involved departments in the definition and validation of a final structural repair solution.
    - Oral and written communication with Aairbus Helicopters global customer support and worldwide customers/organizations in french, english and spanish.
    - Identification of weakness of the Airbus Helicopters fleet by the issuance of In Service Incident Reports (ISIR).
    - Interpretation of technical drawings, and technical documents such as the SRM, SPM, AMM, MRM, IPB, SB, ASB, EASB, etc.
  • Airbus - Materials Engineer specialized in Corrosion

Technique | Marignane (13700) 2016 - 2017 Worked within the Metallic Materials and Processes departament to help Airbus Helicopters understand, prevent and predict all kind of corrosion on its fleel. Some of my main functions were:

    ○ Development of new guidelines for corrosion prevention and control in Airbus Helicopters.
    - Study on state of the art technologies for corrosion prevention in metallic materials inside and outside Airbus Helicopters
    - Definition of corrosion development mechanisms, root cause and morphology
    - Definition of corrosion sensibility for bare materials
    - Definition of corrosion protection for elementary parts
    - Definition of corrosion protection for assemblies
    - Definition of corrosion protections performance
    - Coordination with all the involved departments in the definition and validation of new Airbus Helicopters standard corrosion guidelines.

    ○ Support to design office department (DO)
    - Provide technical support to Airbus Helicopters DO requests regarding corrosion
    - Determination of sensibility to galvanic and crevice corrosion of assemblies and single parts.
    - Definition of protection for elementary materials and assemblies
    - Kinetics of corrosion for different ATA.

    ○ Analysis of company experience in corrosion (RETEX)
    - Capitalization of corrosion incidents of the fleet (all ATA concerned)
    - Determination of corrosion root cause
    - Determination of corrosion morphology
    - Kinetics of corrosion for specific designs and materials

    ○ Capitalization of laboratory corrosion test reports for H160 assemblies and other bare materials used within Airbus.

    ○ Definition of a corrosion expertise suitcase containing all the required tools and elements for expertise visits in customer facilities
  • Airbus - Corrosion Engineer

Autre | Marignane 2016 - 2016 Worked within the Airframe Customer Support department in collaboration with the Metallic Materials and Processes department in the analysis of corrosion on the Airbus Helicopters fleet.

Some of my main tasks included:

    - Research and capitalization of customers's feedback about corrosion on structures.
    - Research and capitalization of Repair Design Approval Sheets (RDAS) and In Service Incident Reports (ISIR) regarding the corrosion cases on civil helicopters of the Airbus Helicopters fleet, such as Super Puma, Dauphin and Ecureuil.
    - Understanding of initiation and propagation of corrosion based on aircraft mission.
    - Understanding of initiation and propagation of corrosion based on aircraft operation country.
    - Understanding of initiation and propagation of corrosion based on aircraft age.
    - Understanding of initiation and propagation of corrosion based on location of the part (wet, humid, dry environment).
    - Communication between the Custommer Support and Materials and Processes department.
    - Interpretation of technical drawings, and technical documents such as the SRM, SPM, AMM, MRM, IPB, SB, ASB, EASB, etc
