2012 - 2012This Singaporean company designs and builds boutique private hotel resorts located on islands close to Singapore. Like most of these resorts in Asia, Nikoi Island is powered by a diesel generating system to cope for the energy demand of the hotel. I have been asked by the management to make an analysis of the technical and economical potential of implementing a hybrid solar/diesel system on Nikoi Island resort (capacity of 150 peoples). The Solar Energy Institute of Singapore, the collaboration of local companies and the use of softwares such as Homer Energy helped me carry out this project successfully. This study has demonstrated that the hybrid system will upgrade Nikoi's Energy system and will lead to cost savings by reducing the usage of fuel and maintenance. Approved by the management, the construction should start by the end of the year. This hybrid system will cost around 150 000 USD and will enable the hotel to reduce Nikoi Island's energy operating costs by 28%.

2009 - 2009Worked on the impact of anthropogenic structures such as hydroelectric plant, on the fish of the Laurentian region, Canada. I took a surface diving course that enables me to identify fishes in rivers. I have also learnt how to characterize a wildlife aquatic habitat and how to use scientific fishing equipment.
