    Laennec Rive Gauche Project: 150M€ / 2 years

    Laennec Rive Gauche, currently the most important construction project in the centre of Paris (4 hectares) consists in the renovation of historical buildings from the 17th century (to be transformed in five-star hotel) and the construction of underground parking and new luxurious housing.

    • Managed the civil works for the renovation of Laennec Rive Gauche project.
    • Designed construction strategy, supervised methodology development and presented technical alternatives to the Client.
    • Coached junior engineers on Project Management.
    • Monitored and optimized financial construction costs leading in improvement of operational margins.

    GUYANCOURT 2010 - 2011 Johannesburg - SOUTH AFRICA

    Gautrain Rapid Rail Link Project: 1600M€ / 4 years

    The major infrastructure project for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa, a Rapid Rail Link between Johannesburg, the international airport and Pretoria: 80km of rail tracks, including 15km of tunnel, 12km of viaducts, 10 stations, 50 bridges and cut & covers, 7 millions m3 earthworks.

    • After delivery of first railway section, set up the technical part of the Claim Dossiers for the Civil Contractor of the Gautrain Project, detailing impacts of unexpected delays and disruption, in view of negotiation / arbitration with the Client (the Gauteng Provincial Government).
    • Coordinated and supervised the external and internal legal counsels.
    • Conducted an audit on the claim management in each Construction Department of the Gautrain Project and proposed action plan for improvement.
    • Exceed target with the successful negotiation on claims with the Airport Authorities.

    Gautrain Rapid Rail Link Project: 1600M€ / 4 years

    • Managed the construction of the ORTIA Station (OR Tambo International Airport - Johannesburg): one of the ten Gautrain stations.
    • Led the strategy on the construction methodology and on the scope split for the subcontracted / in-house works.
    • Coordinated site activities between the Civil Works (concrete and steel structures), the Mechanical & Electrical Works and the Building Works.
    • Conducted the interfaces with the Railway system.
    • Ensured handover of ORTIA Station to the Rolling Stock Contractor (Bombardier), ahead of schedule and within budget.
    • Developed excellent relationships with the Client (the Gauteng Provincial Government) and the Third Parties (Airport authorities, Bombardier).
  • Bouygues Construction - Methods / Site Engineer

    GUYANCOURT 2006 - 2006 Geneva - SWITZERLAND

    A41 highway Project: 650M€ / 3 years

    The A41 highway construction between Annecy (France) and Geneva (Switzerland): 18.8km highway, incl. 3.1km tunnel (TBM), 1.1km viaducts, 300m cut & cover, 5.2 millions m3 earthworks

    • Developed the methodology for the construction of a Cut & Cover (a 300m-long concrete tunnel), describing the works procedure, the kinematics and the necessary resources.
    • Elaborated the construction programme for this Cut & Cover integrating methodology and sequence of works previously developed.
    • Led the preparation of the tunnelling works and monitored the manufacture of the specific concrete formworks.
    • Started the construction works of the Cut & Cover with the drill-and-blast method.
  • Egis - Design Engineer

    Guyancourt 2005 - 2005 New Delhi - INDIA

    New Delhi Regional Office

    • As a trainee, co-led the design teams in charge of the responses to the Expressions of Interest launched by the Indian government for tenders on infrastructure projects in India.
    • Worked specifically on the development of the civil works preliminary design, and coordination of the French and Indian design teams.
    • Presented a business plan and recommended a strategy of development for the EGIS Regional Office based in New Delhi.
