  • Caprion Biosciences S.A. (Belgium site) - Principal Scientist

    2017 - maintenant Same job description than in Caprion Biosciences Inc. (Montreal site)
  • Caprion Biosciences Inc. (Formerly ImmuneCarta Services) - Principal Scientist

    2016 - 2017 The role of a Principal Scientist at ImmuneCarta Services is equivalent to a GLP Study Director.
    • Work independently and act as a scientific project manager (e.g. planning, conduct and management of immune monitoring studies);
    • Ensure that projects are performed in accordance with clinical protocol, study workplan, SOP/CSP and GLP/GCLP guidance, when applicable;
    • Be accountable for overall scientific quality and regulatory compliance of projects;
    • Interact with Senior Principal Scientist(s) and others regarding scientific and general project issues;
    • Communicate to and discusse/review results with clients;
    • Interact with QA for quality issues;
    • Act as a key resource person in the mentoring/training of scientific personnel (e.g. research assistants) working on my projects;
    • Represent the company at scientific meetings and participate in the preparation of scientific or technical materials (e.g. manuscripts, posters).
  • ImmuneCarta Services - Senior Research Scientist

    2015 - 2016 • Perform analysis of data and ensures scientific integrity and compliance with SOP/CSP;
    • Interact with the Lead Scientist of the Data Analysis Unit, Scientific Team and Flow Cytometry Specialist to address project issues in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the client;

    2013 - 2015 I am still working on the same research project started at the Ragon Institute one year ago (My supervisor moved his laboratory to Montreal)
  • Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard (Boston) - Research Fellow (Post-Doctoral fellowship)

    2012 - 2013 A major focus of the laboratory research at the Ragon Institute is to study mechanisms leading to impairment of these T cells and to identify ways to reverse these defects in order to elicit effective immunity against HIV. It has been known for a long time that the dysfunction of CD4 T cells, a subset of T lymphocytes that plays a critical role in orchestrating the functions of several arms of the immune system.

    The aim of my postdoctoral fellowship project is to understand the negative impact that the CD4 T cells that do not work properly have on other immune cells. Studies of cellular functions and gene expression profiles using cutting-edge technologies will be combined in order to achieve this goal. This project is relevant both for our understanding of HIV pathogenesis and for the identification of promising targets to complement antiretroviral therapy in HIV-infected patients or to boost preventive or therapeutic vaccines.
  • University Paris XI - Necker Hospital, CNRS UMR8147 - PhD in Science (Immunology)

    2008 - 2011 Innate immune response of plasmacytoid dendritic cells during retroviral stimulation (HIV-1, HTLV-1)
  • University Paris VI - Necker Hospital, CNRS UMR8147 - Master 2 professional training (Oncology)

    2007 - 2008 Inhibitors study of interferon-alpha production by plasmacytoid dendritic cells after HIV stimulation, speciality Pharmacology
