Modis is active in the automobile retail industry.
Modis (Moorkens Distribution) is made of several retail platforms with multi brand car dealerships in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France.
Our main outlets are Autopolis (1 site in Luxembourg), Fidenco (11 sites in Belgium), GMAN (8 sites in Belgium). In 2011, Modis acquired 2 new groups: Rietje (2 garages in Belgium) and Bruyninx (10 garages in Belgium) and in 2012 Modis took a stake in Groupe Bernard, the second largest French retailer with 41 dealerships.
Those retail outlets are representing some imported brands with Hyundai and Suzuki, but mostly other makes such as Ford, Opel, Alfa, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Audi, VW, Toyota, Nissan, Volvo, Skoda, Chevrolet, Mercedes, Nissan, Renault, and Dacia.
2008 - 2012Moteo (previously Alcopa 2-Wheels) is part of the Alcopa group, a multinational family-owned holding with a combined turnover exceeding EUR 1,3 bn in 2007.
Responsible for key projects having a financial impact, i.e. Mergers & Acquisitions projects (valuation, due diligence, post-merger integration), cost reduction programs, new products, IT (Treasury management, ERP...), negotiation with key suppliers, etc.
Responsible for delivering financial information, validation & counselling to foreign subsidiaries (France, Holland, Switzerland) and challenging the information for the reporting, budget & forecast process of these subsidiaries in order to support the overall group objectives.
Coach local accounting teams in order to improve the finance operations and financial management of the subsidiaries.
