    Missions:

    • ODM management (Original Design Manufacturing, such as Foxconn), vendor selection.
    • Customer interface for factory audits, technical solutions presentation, deliverable validation.
    • Project management and vendor management, phase reviews, ownership of part and assemblies deliverables.
    • Qualifications, capabilities. Regulatory, CE (EN/IEC, RoHS, REACH…), UL (fire spread test…) certification.

    Main achievements:

    • MediaEncore: Industrialisation of Customer Electronic Show 2011 main announcement for Technicolor. Re- design and architecture reconstruction. Introduction of plain aluminium CNC parts. Thermal / Noise / CEM technical trade-off definition.
    • Box LTE: Delivered to VERIZON, 20k units/month. Major leadtime and regulatory constraints. Compromise on tests severity found in workshop at the customer’s office.
    • IPdect: Delivered to TELSTRA. 10k units/month. Tooling cost as main constraint, with highly versionable parts. Tool maker management, production sequences management, non-recurrent costs approval.
    • Loud-on system: Invention of loudspeaker module for wireless equipment and “enveloppe Soleau” issuing. Proof of concept development.

  • Thomson Multimedia - Mechanical Engineering Leader

    Courbevoie 2005 - 2011 Mechanical leader, Connected Devices, Thomson Premises Systems.

    Missions:

    • Mechanical architecture definition, subcontractor CAD/DFM teams follow up. Technical solutions definition for user interface, decoration, assembly. AMDEC/FMEA product reviews.
    • Tooling, manufacturing processes, QC processes follow up. Sourcing process contributor.

    Main achievements:

    • WifiTablet-V2: Delivered to PCCW. Wifi Tablet Mechanical and manufacturing design, in joint development manufacturing. Daily follow up, remote and on manufacturing site.
    • Symbio: Delivered to TELECOM ITALIA. IP radio+telephone. Unprecedented ID design. Innovative solutions for acoustics, architecture, assembly.
    • WifiTablet-V1: Delivered to PCCW, 2008 (iPad : 2010). 50k units produced. Resistive touchscreen with “HD sound” feature. Tablet product range introduction in the factory. Exhaustive definition including CAD. Major ID, compactness, ergonomics constraints.
    • BT Hub 1.0: Custom box with detachable phone charger for BRITISH TELECOM, 3M+ units delivered. ID iteration managed directly with customer’s ID agency. As short as 4 month development from ID to mass production.
    • Macaron2: Version 2 of mini-handset necklace for elderly people to call assistance company.
    • TB30: Fix professional IP phone managed by another group division. Special mission on site due to epidemic failure in production. Exhaustive design review, DFM review, production audit. Re-design of QC tools, secondary process, tool modifications. Negotiation with third parties. Production resumption plan.

  • Inventel - Mechanical Development Manager

    2000 - 2005 • Pilotage de l'ID design, interface avec la direction marketing du client
    • Définition complète de la mécanique (CAO, tolérancement, spécifications process, matières)
