  • Kluane First Nation Government - Executive Director

    2015 - 2016 - Led the senior management team to develop and implement work plans and budgets that are in line with the Council’s strategic plan;

    - Oversaw the daily operations of Kluane First Nation government to ensure that Council’s strategic directions are followed and government programs are delivered;

    - Supervised the government contracts and expenditures to ensure the sound financial management of the government as well as the balanced budgets;

    - Reorganized the government structure to increase work efficiency and to reduce unnecessary government expenditures;

    - Initiated and led the successful reorganization of the IT network for the Government. As a result, not only the IT network maintenance costs were reduced by 92%, an absolute reliable network was built, and also the staff’s IT capacity was increased through trainings;

    - Mentored First Nation (FN) staff in a wide range of fields including management skills, operations efficiency and IT skills, and significantly increased FN staff capacity (49 employees);

    - Supervised and coordinated the development of applicable KFN Legislation and policies as required by the Council;
    Initiated the best practices of « Lean Management » in the Kluane First Nation Government;

    - Acted as liaison between Council and other First Nation Governments, Boards and Agencies to ensure the citizens and community interests are addressed;

    - Acted as liaison between the Nation’s political body and administrative body to ensure effective internal communication and direction is conveyed and understood.
  • Synergie Industries inc. - Independent senior Business Advisor & Project Manager

    2004 - maintenant Through the successful Yukon Business Development Project (http://www.ybdp.ca) funded by the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, Yukon Government, Yukon Technology Innovation Center and Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce, my responsibilities and accomplishments are in:

    - Advising and coaching in expertise areas including the «best practices» in management, business development, marketing strategies, lean manufacturing, governance, international development in over 42 firms of various size and sectors as well in manufacturing, tourism, agriculture and services and through multicultural environments (such as First Nations, French and English entrepreneurs and staffs)

    - Creating and managing over 120 Business Advisory Boards (BAB) and BAB consulting sessions with over 260 complementary and prominent experts around the world relevant to the industrial sectors of the businesses and to their specialized needs. Providing the ``best practice'' advices and suggestions based on proven successes for business development and growth. Each BAB session has ended with the generation of a comprehensive list of prioritized actions and projects for the client company to carry out with my full implementation support and coaching and to attain its business goals.

    - Being regularly invited as speaker at the Annual Yukon Economical Summit conferences for the business and governmental leaders, the Annual General Assemblies of the Chambers of Commerce, the Yukon conference of the Council of Northern Economic Developers (CNED) in 2014 and also at the National Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) conference at Iqaluit in Nunavut in 2012. My speeches were about the innovative and successful concepts and processes in business support for companies experimented in the frame of the Yukon Business Development Project or the usable and inspiring lessons and tools in business development from my professional experiences.

    - Being invited as expert member for several Boards of Director of company to provide any senior advices such as in governance, strategies development, organizational structure, etc.

    - Being nominated for Les Lauriers de la PME entrepreneurial awards competition (business National contest in Canada) in 2009 in the category Service Business. The Lauriers de la PME competition recognizes entrepreneurial excellence for small and medium-sized businesses in Canada's Francophone and Acadian communities.
