    PARIS 2010 - 2014 Driving CSR programmes across 3,000 staff in 6 UK Group entities, with responsibility for:

    • Strategy: key participant in review, implementation and management of UK CSR strategy across all UK entities; responsible for liaising with Head Office teams in Paris on joint initiatives and global CSR Strategy. ;
    • Charitable Giving: oversee all UK charitable giving activities including the relationship with UK Charity of the Year; organise various fundraising events such as an overnight marathon walk, a Paris to London bike ride and a 5-a-side football tournament to reach partnership target; administer GBP 250k Charitable Trust budget and charity payments.
    • Volunteering: manage 11 employee-volunteering programmes including a mentoring programme for young people, enterprise and employability workshops and a 3-year strategic partnership with local schools and businesses in the Isle of Dogs.
    • Environment: UK lead for environmental impact reduction programme, including the management of annual Carbon Plan and implementation of carbon footprint reporting.
    • Communications & reporting: communicate CSR initiatives and successes via weekly all staff news, posters and lift screen slides; liaise with designer to create bespoke artwork for front of house CSR display; contribute to content and writing of annual CSR report; manage CSR databases including production and analysis of data reports for senior management meetings.
    • Other: facilitate CSR Committee and UK Carbon Panel, chairing meetings to encourage senior management to adopt best practice and drive continuous improvement; recruit and manage interns and temporary staff in the team; deliver monthly induction to new joiners and other internal presentations; represent Société Générale at external events.

    Key achievements:
    • Raised £650k against £350k target for Charity of the Year 11-13, Teenage Cancer Trust
    • Initiated 5 new volunteering programmes and multiplied school volunteers number by 3.5
    • Achieved 24% in carbon footprint reduction per head in the UK over 2011-12
  • Environmental Investment - Overseas PR Representative & part-time volunteer

    2009 - 2010 • Supported roll out of PR and marketing strategy in France
    • Developed communication materials in French (including press releases, brochures, website articles) and built relationships with journalists and blog authors to deepen reach
    • Used social media to create ‘buzz’ around the launch of the EIO’s main project: the Environmental Tracking Indexes
    Key achievements:
    • In 2010 I was appointed one of the charity’s Non-Executive Directors, helping to guide strategic decisions.
  • Copenhagen Business School - Research Assistant

    2008 - 2009 • Led research project exploring the CSR communication strategies of European financial cooperatives, part of a consultancy project led by the Center for Corporate Governance
    • Conducted in-depth interviews with European cooperatives highlighting best practice case studies
    • Produced a research paper that was the basis of both the research project and my Masters Thesis
    Key achievements:
    • My Thesis was awarded an 85% grade meaning I graduated top of my year. I also received the Credit Mutuel Foundation Special Award for Cooperative Research in 2009.
  • EDF - Sustainability Researcher

    Paris 2008 - 2008 • Researched and wrote a report on the European and national legislations (France, Germany, Italy and UK) in the renewable energy sector
    • Analysed the impact of the EU Directive project on the national legislations and what risks and opportunities would arise for the EDF Group in these countries
    • Presented the final report to the Head of Sustainable Development and colleagues and worked to embed key findings into decision-making within EDF
  • Created Intercom Consulting - Freelance Consultancy

    2008 - 2008 • Created Intercom Consulting, an International Development Consultancy enterprise, with 3 fellow Masters colleagues as part of a Professional Certificate at IAE Lyon
    • Effectively pitched and sold Intercom Consulting’s services to local companies set for international growth through face-to-face meetings
    • Completed a study report into the French market of polymers for maize-seeds for a client - Alliances Strategiques International
