O For the past 13 years in the offshore oil and gas industry, I've worked in the logistics and marine operations in West Africa (Nigeria, Gabon, Congo, and Angola) and in Est Africa (Mozambique). Mainly shore based Single Point Of Contact between projects and the local’s logistics structures; I've coordinated, supervised, and managed movement of material, personnel, and marine units (vessels and cargo barges). The long missions I've done in Africa brought me a strong knowledge of the countries and way of working with people and authorities. I can run a logistics and marine support department or base

COMPETENCES :

o Bilingual French / English. Speak fluent English since 1978 (daily at home or at work).
o Manage all activities related to vessel’s port call, bunkering, supplies, customs clearances, loading/unloading, vessels on/off hire, sail-away inspection, cargo lashing, and crew changes.
o Manage suppliers and contractors, and monitor performances to assess ability to meet and improve quality of services.
o Assess appropriate handling and transport equipment needs, and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
o Analyse all aspect of logistics to determine the most cost-efficient way to carry out operations.
o Ensure that logistics support and third party adhere and comply with the company policies and procedures.
o Monitor movement of personnel, meet and greets, hotel auditing, flight booking, and transfer offshore by sea or air.
o Assess all parts of the logistics chain including air, marine and land transport options as well as support base locations and facilities, and present results by reports.
o Manage the recording of goods in the company’s database and the issuance of documentations and cargo manifest.
o Manage a logistics and marine support department or base with very little supervision.
o Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other usual software.

o Good verbal and written communication skills with personnel at all levels and ability to motivate subordinates.
o Ability to communicate effectively with personnel internally and externally representing the company to clients and suppliers.
o Ability to interface at all levels with vendors, sub-contractors, suppliers, local authorities, clients and Management.
o Ability to make decision on short notice and to meet tight deadlines according to operational requirements.
o Flexible to working hours, rotations roaster and locations.
