En résumé

As far as I remember, I have always been fascinated by the Life and Earth Sciences, the way things are going together to build the dynamic equilibrium of the Universe in which we are living.
Furthermore, while learning to understand it, I discovered a lot of technologies, in continuous developments and improvements, and I really enjoyed it. I was particularly amazed by this surprising contrast between these “old processes” governing our environment, and the necessity of always developing high technology to explore, discover and understand it.
Considering this, I naturally built my education path in sciences, to reach the French National School of Geosciences, in Nancy (after two years of intensive courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and geology to prepare competitive entry examinations). That school allowed me to fulfill my goals, as I was able to follow the “Numerical Geology” education path, in which I was able to learn general geosciences – including petroleum geology, geophysics and reservoir modeling –so as computer sciences leading to develop geology based modeling algorithm. I completed this student life as a 7 months trainee, for Schlumberger Information Services, in Oslo (Norway), where I was in charge of the development of a plugin module interfacing (by history matching), and updating, petrophysical models built in their modeling software Petrel© with streamline based reservoir simulations generated under Frontsim ©.
Considering what I learnt of geological exploration and I felt I was missing the basis of the basis of the oil exploration: Seismic Acquisition and Processing. I joined CGG in January 2006 as Processing Geophysicist, position in which I was able to fill up my knowledge of this topic. I was in charge of learning and understating mathematical algorithms that were – and are still – in continuous development (related to signal processing, wave propagation, image optimization), in order to find the best way to produce and provide to my clients the best images of the basement. In this position, I was able to develop my technical skills (to reach the title of “Senior Processing Project Leader”), so as transvers skills, such as client relationship management on a daily basis (From July 2006 to October 2011, I worked in the Total facilities, in Pau, where we have a dedicated processing center), and management skills (I became the deputy of the center manager from summer 2008 until I left this position). Finally, in November 2011, I had the opportunity to join a IT team, in our HQ in Massy, as “IT Support Specialist”, position I’m still working on, and where I can learn and manage number of various topics (such as software engineering, IT architecture, hardware integration, network maintenance, database administration, and client support). I really enjoy this position for this diversity, and for the incredible team I’m part of (rich knowledge, and strong availability to share it, strong team spirit,…). If only CGG could move to my home sweet home in Toulouse, that would be perfect!!!! ;-)
On my personal side, I’m sharing my week end with my nice girlfriend (who lives in Toulouse), where we are sharing our time between sport (hiking in the beautiful Pyrenees, including snow cross country hiking, go cycling, swimming) music and reading. I’m also fond of Rugby, and last but not least, running is MY sport, especially long racing such as Marathon, where I’m really proud of the level I reached (best perf. Of 2h44’43’’ which qualified myself to the next French National Championships 2013 !!!) – but I still need to improve myself to be able to beat, if possible, my dear brother!!! ;-)

NB : Please Note that this page is currently under updates, and my career history should be more detailed soon…. ;-)
