    2009 - maintenant Responsible for the day to day running of the infrastructure, incident management and the ongoing design and implementation of infrastructure changes and enhancements to ensure that Nectar Italia meets the required service levels for availability, performance and integrity. Currently, my job responsibilities include:

    • Defining production support acceptance criteria and requirements for new and existing systems
    • Design/Review of all infrastructure changes

    2009 - 2009 In charge for all aspects of the operated platforms. But also responsible for the technical team who handles deployment and maintenance of all software application components as well as responsible for the Quality Assurance, ensuring that all software products meet the required specifications and levels of quality. My position confronted me with the following responsibilities:

    • Establish long-term ICT operations strategy working with the CIO, Development and Business Application departments. The strategy aligns with the business direction and objectives and other infrastructure directions in adjacent areas.

    • Coordinate on-hours and off-hours technology infrastructure problem resolution activities, including escalation to external suppliers when necessary, and report to management informed about critical problems and current status.

    • Establish and implement clearly defined processes and procedures for technical services delivery.

    • Manage the infrastructure and technology changes ensuring that changes are effectively transitioned to the production environment via the agreed Operations acceptance criteria.

    • Day-to-day management of the data center operation staff (GNU/Linux)

    • Manage daily activities and workflow of the Technical Operations group.

    • Active management of all operational SLAs

    2007 - 2009 Worked within the operation team in charge of supporting the developer and product teams by designing the connectivity and specifying hardware and application infrastructures (100% Linux) which will support the growth of Zero9’s products and services. My position brought me face to face with the following responsibilities:

    • Analyse application flow and infrastructure design to improve performance and scalability of the sites
    • Elaborate on design of service infrastructure from servers to networking
    • Monitor, analyse, and make recommendations as appropriate to improve site stability and availability
    • Evaluate hardware and software technologies to improve site efficiency and performance
    • Troubleshoot and solve issues with hardware, applications, and network components
    • Lead team efforts from design to implementation, prioritise tasks and resources while interacting with Engineering and Operations
    • Document current and future configuration processes and policies
  • Buongiorno S.p.A, Milan - Network and System architect

    2006 - 2007 Worked within a team of 3 system and network engineers to manage 250 GNU/linux servers, spread in
    Milan and Turin, and to deploy cryptographic links with telecoms operators in the world. I realized projects
    with the common administration and network equipment configuration and server evolution such as :

    • Migration plan and project management for Paris data-center move.
    • Docbook documentation and task procedures writing for the system and network department
    • Web pool migration to a high capacity and availability system Linux Virtual Server (LVS)
    • VPN creation with operators spread all over the world
    • OpenVPN authentication system with certificates and connection tracking tools and dynamic firewall to distribute access to the datacenter.
    • Authentication architecture with automatically distributed SSH keys (CFENGINE) and connection monitoring based on centralised logs.
    • Centralized AMANDA backup architecture on disk storage.
    • Dns server migration (545 domain names) so as to include internal resolution.
    • High availability cluster management (LinuxHA) international conferences and presentations for the systems and networks department (Paris,Rome, Madrid)

    2003 - 2006 Worked within a team of 3 administrators, 2 analysts and 2 technicians, to manage 150 different servers.
    Intervened on WEB servers (IIS/Apache), veritas backup servers and libraries, Europe multi-site exchange servers, home drives cluster servers (SAN XP512) and SQL/Postgresql database servers. I realized projects with the common administration and the technological survey and the server evolution
