  • Bluwan - Chief Financial Officer, Bluwan

    2011 - 2015 Supported the rapid growth of this Telecom equipment supplier by leading all financial and operational functions;
    * Set up, developed, improved and managed the company's operations including Finance, Administration, HR, Legal, Supply Chain/Procurement, IT, and facilities management; ;
    * Led the re-organization of the company by implementing new systems to align Commercial (SalesForce.com), Operational (Internal and External Trouble Ticket Systems) and Financial (Sage) activities in an well-defined centralized process whilst managing capital raise (more than EUR 22m were raised during my tenure) and investor's relations (Private fund and large technology groups);
    * Co-led the change to become a fabless company by transferring our production capabilities to a North American technology manufacturers improving our capacity, quality and production cost;
    * Worked closely with R&D to obtain financing on large scientific programs (loans and grants from French and European organizations), claim R&D tax credits, minimize costs whilst ensuring scaling up the organization by offshoring some skills to India (testing, development); ;
  • Finexeo Group - Chief Financial Officer

    2009 - 2011 Chief Financial Officer, Finexeo Group/Atrium Network,
    Managed the restructuring of this high-growth multinational connectivity services provider to the financial services sector and prepared the company for a trade sale;
    * Led a team of 9 people over 5 locations (US, Canada, UK, France, Luxembourg) managing the operation of the business including finance, HR and commercial administration;
    * Restructured the business by reducing operating expenses, renegotiating suppliers' contracts, deploying robust financial controls and processes as well as re-organising the North American subsidiaries (opening the Canadian Branch whilst down-sizing the US one); It enabled the group to become EBITDA positive and focus on profitable growth strategies and markets;
    * Managed the rapid revenue growth ( EUR 10m, 60% p.a.growth) by implementing a bespoke commercial process to concentrate on high ROI projects whilst ensuring adequate financing and improving service delivery. It enabled the company to improve operating margins by 10%, speed up services delivery and lower customer churn;
    * Delivered and presented all actuals, budgeted and forecasted financials to the board and Investors, managed the three-year business plan and supported the trade sale process led by a US investment bank to the TMX Group; ;
  • Timeshift Media - Director, Finance & Operations

    2006 - 2009 Director, Finance & Operations, Timeshift Media/Vingo TV,
    Set-up and managed the Finance & Operations functions of a Web TV start-up;
    * Assisted the CEO in the growth and development of this start-up by shaping, refining and driving the business strategy. It was achieved by developing financial models including pricing models, profitability and feasibility studies, aligning operational resources and focusing on key markets. It was pivotal in raising $500k in equity funding from private investors and identifying a potential JV with a Plus-listed online gaming company;
    * Set up, led and owned all finance operations such as accounting, cash management, budgets & compliance policies including the production of all statutory information, annual accounts, reporting and relationships with all relevant third parties such as auditors, legal firms and investors;
    * Provided commercial support in the negotiation with leading broadcasters and advertisers during the launch of the company's offering. It resulted in signing more than 30 content distribution agreements and generating the company's first advertising and subscription revenue;
    * Supported the technology roadmap of the multimedia platform by leveraging the company's existing capabilities and outsourcing specific features whilst ensuring its operability by negotiating commercial contracts and service level agreements with partners located in the UK and in India; ;
  • Deloitte - Strategy Consultant

    Puteaux 2004 - 2006 Managed UK and pan-European strategy and operations assignments including full P&L responsibility (GBP 1m per annum), staff resources (up to 10 consultants and analysts) and client relationship;
    * Led a 6-week pan-European M&A due diligence for a Japanese Insurer defining the overall business dynamics of the European commercial mid-market insurance sector and selecting 4 out of 300 potential targets through a detailed company analysis (operational, commercial and financial analysis and ownership structure);
    * Reviewed on behalf of a leading financial services organisation their international insurance business operations. This 3-month review enabled to dramatically reduce costs by co-locating in one single country by region policy servicing, claims and underwriting whilst improving revenue by letting local teams developing products & services;
    * Designed and supervised the implementation of a new budget, performance reporting and service management process for the CFO organisation of a major pan-European bank. This 5-month project enabled to better track and measure the effectiveness of the annual EUR 1bn budget dedicated to the Bank's Shared Services (IT, HR, procurement, facilities, offshoring); ;
  • Lucent Technologies - Portfolio Manager

    1999 - 2002 Portfolio Manager, Appointed to lead a team of 5 strategic product managers to drive the five-year plan of a $800m R&D program and develop strategic and commercial partnerships within the third generation of mobility telephony Business Unit;
    * Developed a strategic initiative in the corporate segment by leveraging internal R&D and professional services capabilities and identifying critical partnerships and alliances to deliver an innovative turnkey solution. The resulting ``secured high-speed data'' solution was acclaimed by banks and customers alike for its original business model and helped the company to regain customer interests;
    * Project-managed a $25 million packet data R&D program combining software and hardware products. Success occurred by developing a decision-making tool, prioritising capital allocation from product and customer driver analysis, enabling the delivery of the ordered solution within the targeted budget;
    * Reorganised a front-end process to speed up the execution of disruptive strategic initiatives. It became the sole internal communication channel between R&D, marketing/sales, standards and finance departments decreasing product development by 2 months and generating a greater customer focus; ;
  • Mobilix - Telecom Engineer

    1997 - 1999 Participated in the creation of a cellular network in a highly competitive market;
    * Accelerated the implementation of new telecom services by adapting a corporate operational process to the local environment and improving the communication channel between marketing and operations. This became the cornerstone of the company's strategy to bring first to market innovative services to demanding customers;
    * Systematized international telecom agreements to speed up implementation of instant cash-flow generating services representing more than 10% of the company revenue. In less than a year, 65 international agreements were agreed and set-up, offering to our customers the largest roaming offer in Denmark; ;
  • C.N.R.S. - Intern

    1996 - 1996 Assigned to a 8-month project (part of my MSc curriculum) working with world-class atomic researchers on the development of a new generation of atomic clock designed for complex satellite and digital defence communications equipments;
