Since 2009, I'm an associate professor in Rennes, France. Either research and teaching activities are focussing on environmental and chemical engineering. A special expertise was developped for water and air treatments, and especially the processes occuring at the solid-fluid interfaces.

    Research topics : water and air treatments; interface sciences : adsorption, chemical and environmental engineering.

    - Electrical regeneration of used adsorbents - desorption and chemical reaction for organic molecules inside porous structures
    - Adsorption of the metabolites of pesticides
    - New adsorbents from renewable sources
    - Molecular Imprinted Polymers for the remediation of surface waters
    - Upgrading biogases using activated carbon fiber cloths to remove undesired volatile organic compounds (electrical-swing adsorption)
    - Drinking water treatment - Chlordecone (pesticide) removal from natural waters in the French Indies
    - Evaluating the coefficients of diffusion of volatile organic compounds in porous materials - NMR studies
    - Designing a commercial component of a simulation software for the gas-phase adsorption processes

    2007 - 2009 Post-doctorate position in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Queensland :

    "Tailoring mesoporous carbons for hydrogen storage"

    Research project dealing with the synthesis of new porous carbons, the physical and chemical characterization and the evaluation of the adsorption capacities of hydrogen.
