  • Dental Clinics (entrepreneurial venture) - Healthcare entrepreneur

    2012 - 2014 - Worked on launching an entrepreneurial venture aiming at creating the first consolidated group of dental clinics in France, using innovative but legal “for-profit” corporate structures, compliant with the French restrictive legal regulation of the dentistry sector.
    - Identified this business opportunity through thourough analysis of a necessary business-model switch from the still dominant in France but sub-optimal “independent practitioner” model to a clinic-based model more adapted to:
    . i) new dental practice trends (dental specialties multiplication, treatment sophistication, feminization, etc.) and,
    . ii) growing capex requirements and amortization of investments on more technologically advanced dentistry equipments
    - Business profitability and sustainability to be derived from the potential to reduce costs by leveraging process rationalization and economies of scale (e.g. dental chairs’ utilization rate) while improving client service convenience (e.g. longer open hours, one-stop shop)
  • Apax Partners - Principal

    Paris 2005 - 2012 - Member of APAX Partners TMT investment team, focused on the Tech sector in France, Belgium and Switzerland
    - In charge of i) deal origination & analysis of investment opportunities, ii) deal execution (due diligence & deal structuring) and iii) monitoring of portfolio companies as Board member or observer
    - Invested over €150 million in equity in late-stage VC, Growth Capital, LBO and PIPE deals on mid-market companies.

    2004 - 2005 Slumber Zone® (e-Healthcare startup project) aimed at creating the first online personalized sleep monitoring and coaching program to help the 50 million Americans* suffering from insomnia improve their sleep quality for a better life, through the automated and personalized guided use of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques.
    To design their online insomnia treatment program, the Slumber Zone founding team worked with a scientific board composed of world-renowned sleep medecine experts
