At this stage in my life, I am content in saying that I have experienced a rich and diversified career. I come from a military background where I served in the British Army followed by the parachute regiment of the French Foreign Legion ( 2 REP ).
From here to the Security World to a business opportunity which I took allowing me to work around the globe in a communications role, family life brought about a career change into language coaching and finally here to a new crossroads .
I do strongly believe however, that if you start to feel that your current situation no longer offers the challenge you seek, then either improve on your situation or change job. I set a personal objective to do just that. Starting in 09/2016 I obtained a distinction in the level 4 Advanced Security Management Diploma and in 02/2017 I began the CSMP course with ISMI which is due to finish end of 01/2018. This January, I attended and obtained my medical FPOS INT4 diploma with IQARUS and will be returning to do the MIRA.
The intention is to find a corporate position in Security Risk Management where I can assist in ensuring the organisation has sufficient resilience to deal with current and future threats.
Some may feel I lack experience in this field, but I would disagree. The CSMP course not only provides the teaching of modern best practices in Security Risk Management, but its demanding nature expects this knowledge to be applied in application to typical scenarios faced by businesses. By February 2018 I will have acquired the technical competence, which will add to the communication skills I have honed these last years in coaching many people at executive level in the ‘Soft Skills’.
Security is a holistic affair where security risk managers require exceptional communication skills: my passion for this field and my meticulous nature makes me confident that I will be able to fit in and work alongside others to provide measurable results.
