I offered technical support for prices calculation on sundry contracts. I try to make business and find clients to collaborate on sundry onshore contracts in Romania. I rent personnel (welders, fitters, engineers) for divers' places in Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, France, Finland, UK, etc. I offered support in all welding problems and open a new Notech office in Romania. I make analysis the prices for welding equipment's and necessary tools to start the production. Together with accountability department I calculated the estimated prices to start the shop production in Romania.
Recruit 60 welders, test and authorized them in Romania with TUV authority. The welders were authorized in conformity with EN-287-1 for 136 process, plate 15 mm thickness. The test piece was controlled with X-Ray inspection and bend test. The scope of job was to weld materials with thickness from 10 to 100mm for oil platforms and windmill. In shipyard the welders supported a new test before start to work, they weld a T piece with full penetration, thickness 30mm and the piece was tested by ultrasonic examination. I collaborate with welding department (Vitec AS) to train and translate all welding information for Romanian welders. Together with welding department we reduce the welding rejected rate from 10% to 2%.

Negotiate and approve vendors for welding equipment's and materials.
  • Vulcan SA - Welding Inspector & Chief of TIG Welders

    2006 - 2008 Main activities and responsibilities:
Worked in heavy fabrication / welding of different materials like CS, LAS, SS and nickel alloy, welding processes like SMAW, FCAW, SAW, ESW, and GMAW. Read and interpret WPS/PQR and conversant with new technologies and welding machineries twin/tandem saw, electro slag strip cladding, orbital welding and mechanization of welding. I used my Knowledge of welding productivity to find means to maximize the productivity, train the people to improve their skills and knowledge.
Make the control for welding defects and reworks and must perform as per the man-hours allocated. I offered technical support for welding equipment's, documents, identification, fault localization and propose the repair for pressure vessels and drilling equipment's with problems.
Managing a team of 30 TIG welders in various projects after different codes ASME, EN, DNV, ISCIR, and AWS. I trained and discovery new talents as a TIG welders when the factory have a shortage of TIG welders. Supervise membrane wells automatic process (121) for different type of steel S235JR, 16Mo3, 10CrMo910, 13CrMo44. Propose reparation for welding equipment's or implement new welding equipment's for cladding project.
Monitored and proposed TIG welders to weld stainless steel (type 25Cr20Ni) harps/coils and after overlay with Thermanit 625 (E NiCrMo-3).
Build the welding technology for boilers with high-temperature and creep resisting, pressure vessel and drilling equipment's, elaborate samples and organizing activities for qualification of welding procedures according to: ASME CODE - Sections I, III, V, VIII, IX (American Society of Mechanical Engineers - Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code), EN 12952, EN 287-1, EN 288 or EN 15614.
Analyze the products execution drawings regarding the applicable welding details and technologies. Issue welding technologies (WPS's, WPQR's) and establish the type and volume of NDE (non-destructive examination) for all type of joints on the execution drawings.
Maintain the relationships with the clients, Authorized Inspectors and Notified Body (TUV, SGS, Lloyd`s, ISCIR, ASME, DNV, etc.).

Train and manage 30 TIG welders in various projects after different codes ASME, EN, DNV, ISCIR, and AWS. I have the responsibility to read the drawing and allotment of the welders for different type of steel and complexity after their ability to weld and after their authorizations. I trained and discovery new talents as a TIG welders when the factory have a shortage of TIG welders. Estimate standard man-hours based on design quantities and the established WBS.
Calculate material quantities and shop production to meet site requirements.
Negotiate and approve vendors for welding equipment’s and materials.
During the summer I was working with AutoCAD like designer for Construction of drinking water and domestic installations but also for biological treatment plants, as a second job.
