    Description: Billing Manager's Overview

Companies use numerous telecom products and services and therefore receive a large number of
bills from Belgacom each month. Centralizing these bills and analyzing the telecoms budget require
each company to carry out an enormous amount of followup and generates high costs.

Belgacom Billing Manager (BMG) is an Internet application which, on the basis of predefined criteria,
provides belgacom customers with a reliable and secure solution for:
    o creating reports,
    o analyzing reports,
    o downloading reports.

All data is extracted from Belgacom's official billing system.

Customers have access to their billing data records of the last 13 months.
The current solution regarding the reporting is based on Business Object Webi 6.5.2. The DBMS is ORACLE 9i.

    Mission Objectives

Belgacom intends to migrate its current Billing Manager application in 2008 to a completely new system, based on the architecture and the technology delivered by MicroStrategy.
The objectives of Belgacom for this migration project are the following:
    1. Stop using technology that will no longer be supported within Belgacom mid 2008
    2. Provide its customers a more simple and more user-friendly application for reporting and analysis on billing data
    3. Provide new functional and technical capabilities that will increase the usability of the application for Belgacom?s customers
    4. Provide a more reliable, stable and better performing system with very little down-time
    5. Migrate all standard and all personal reports
    6. And in the longer term: differentiate itself from the competition by offering its customer new , innovative services through this new Billing Manager system.

In this contexte, my work will be to analyze the existing reports in Business Object, create the new report on Microstrategy and try to optimize as much as possible.
