Experience:
- 2 ans au Programme des Nations unies pour l'environnement (PNUE, cf http://www.unep.org ) a la branche "economie et commerce" en charge d'etudes sur les impacts de la liberailisation du commerce sur l'agriculture, la peche et l'environnement.
- 10 ans en tant que coordinatrice puis directrice adjointe de l'initiative pour une agriculture durable (SAI Platform, cf http://www.saiplatform.org ), ou j'aide les entreprises agro-alimentaires membres (Nestle, Kraft, Danone, General Mills, McDonald's etc) a ameliorer les modes de production des matieres premieres qu'elles achetent pour la production "de masse" (i.e. pas les produits niches type bio ou commerce equitable)

Details personnels: deux enfants (de 3 et 5 ans), installee en France a 5km de Geneve, Suisse, ou je travaille.

    2006 - 2009 Governance
    • Organizing governance meeting agendas and logistics, preparing and presenting background documents, recording minutes, tracking follow-up actions, reporting back to interested parties.
    • Coordination/liaising between governing bodies, active or associate members and key other stakeholders.
    • Elaborating the Platform’s governance structure by drafting Codes of Conduct and Communication, Chapters Guidelines and other documents as per the organization’s evolution.

    Management
    • Helping manage the Platform: defining general directions and translating these into workplans and budgets with the Board, implementing and supervising the implementation of activities to ensure timely delivery of services to members, recruiting new members, taking care of administrative, financial and logistical matters.
    • Coordinating crop-specific Working Groups (each involving 10-20 experts): developing work plans, facilitating meetings, coordinating actions & output delivery and liaising with main partners.
    • Maintaining stakeholder network to build synergies or simply keep each other informed about news/events.

    Technical activities and communication
    • Monitoring progress of, and facilitating exchange between worldwide pilots testing best practices for various crops. Helping develop strategic alliances and tools to roll these practices out on a wide scale.
    • Elaborating a communication strategy and the related tools towards members and external stakeholders.
    • Developing and managing an information portal website, producing newsletters (sent to about 1,000 people from the Industry, Governments, NGOs, IGOs etc), internal bulletins, information packs and press articles.
  • Programme des Nations Unies pour l'environnement (PNUE) - Associate Economic Officer

    2000 - 2002 Management
    • Managed programme on fishery subsidies: oversaw studies in Argentina/Senegal, organized workshops to discuss findings (raised funding, set up agenda & logistics, identified speakers, produced press releases).
    • Coordinated regional working groups on the use of economic instruments for environmental policy: engaged experts, organized meetings, wrote & presented technical papers, developed follow-up work plan.

    Communication and technical activities
    • Developed new publication series “fisheries & the environment” and edited the two first publications.
    • Reviewed studies on the effects of trade liberalization in developed and developing countries, helped identify measures for Governments to mitigate these impacts and co-wrote report presented at the WTO.
    • Helped raise funding for, and convened regional workshops on, energy subsidy reform in Africa, Asia, Latin America & Europe. Contributed to writing report for the 9th Commission on Sustainable Development.
