• Worldbank - Strategic Development Specialist

  Washington 2008 - 2010 EAdvised high ranking Government officials on sustainable development strategies, with a focus on mainstreaming vulnerability reduction, climate change, land use planning:
  - Provided strategic support to the Prime Minister office and Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE) for national programs (PPRE 2008, PRNDH 2010).
  - Advised the MPCE and the inter Ministerial Committee for land use planning (CIAT) for integrating vulnerability reduction strategies in the national planning process.
  - Supported advocacy activities among government entities, the private sector, and the international community to mainstream vulnerability reduction in their investment portfolio.
  - Advised the Minister of Planning during the GFDRR CG meeting and ISDR 2nd Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Geneva (June 2009)
  - Assisted the elaboration of the World Bank Country Assistance Strategy (2009-2012) and Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA 2008, 2010).
  - Focal point for climate change adaptation (CPPR) efforts, in support to the CIAT and in partnership with IADB, UNDP.

  2008 - 2008 Advised decision makers of the Government and the international community following the 4 cyclones (Fay, Gustav, Hanna and Ike):
  - Provided rapid disaster impact estimates to support national post crisis strategy.
  - Developed advocacy tools on early recovery and rehabilitation needs.
  - Contributed to the preparation of the emergency fund request proposals from UNDP/BCPR and UN Flash Appeal.

• European Union - Strategy and Advocacy specialist

  2007 - 2007 Focal point to the Poverty Reduction Strategy paper (PRSP) National Secretariat for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR):
  - Developed advocacy and awareness raising products to mainstream DRR in the National Strategy for Growth and Poverty Reduction (DSNCRP 2008-2011).
  - Organized and conducted workshops with key national and international actors to identify the DRR priorities and to elaborate the chapter on DRR in the DSNCRP.
  - Supported sectoral focal points in integrating risk reduction measures in their development agenda and budgets.
  - Participated to the elaboration of international community strategy documents (such as UN Development Assistance Framework) in support to the DSNCRP.
  - Co-facilitated a workshop of DRR actors for the multi annual work plan revision.

• UNDP - Project manager

  2005 - 2006 Led and managed the Poll Worker project (30 people) of the Electoral Assistance Section (EAS/ MINUSTAH) for the 2006 Presidential and Legislative Elections:
  - Prepared the operational framework, the work plan and the recruitment procedures nationwide, with extensive work in the field. (37 000 poll workers recruited).
  - Developed and conducted capacity building training courses for electoral trainers, and developed a final manual of procedures for the recruitment of poll workers.
  - Served as focal point to prepare the poll workers list with the political parties.
  - Developed election fraud prevention mechanisms. (Implemented during elections)
  - Administrated payroll of poll workers.
  - Elaborated a hand over package for the national election committee with best practices and lessons learnt to assist the second round of the legislative elections.
