In charge of the application software teams (25 engineers + near shore & offshore teams) responsible for the developments, enhancements, and integration of the Mobile Application Suite for the 3G products
Main achievements:
• Managed the new developments (music player and Multimedia DB, camera, RDS radioFM, PIM applications and Device Synchronisation) and enhanced the software quality level (new enhanced user experience and improved maturity level) from project initiation through operator acceptance. Defined the work tasks and budget. Ensured that the deliverables are released on time to budget with the accepted level of quality for the 2008 products. Managed the relationship and led the work with external 3rd party suppliers and outsourced solution providers.
• Led the work of the messaging team to guarantee the release on time to budget of the very first Messaging Application development based on the newly integrated JavaScript application framework with a level of quality up to the operator acceptance and standard messaging certification ones.
• Reorganised the application team: Managed the ramp down of the near shore contribution to development process and reinforced the Sagem team by building up technical expertise, software design skills and competence pools
• Managed the ramp up of a new offshore development centre: Defined the process and development framework as well as the quality and performance agreements. Led projects and responsible for managing the budget of the outsourced developments – Responsible for the generation and sign-off of the scope of works

• Project manager in charge of finding and developing a new solution for the 3G Messaging applications:
• Benchmark and analysis of state of the art 3rd party solutions. Launched and defined a new strategic technology partnership for the joint development between Sagem and US 3rd party technology supplier
• Managed the overall project plan and budget. Led and coordinated the work of Sagem team together with the contributions of the 3rd party partner. Report on progress to Sagem senior Management
• Led the very first integration on Sagem 3G feature phone of a new Rich Media application framework based on embedded JavaScript technology. Managed the complete rewriting of the messaging applications (SMS & MMS) from specification to product release
• Organised the development of the new features (Push Email and IMPS) and the enhancements of the messaging applications for Vodafone 2G products and ensured that the deliverables are released on time to budget with agreed quality
• Technology survey : Member to the Open Mobile Alliance working group on IMS and POC
