    Missions:
    • Manage and develop the mining and process expertise within AREVA Mines
    • Define the operating standards in mining (ISR, underground and open pit), ore processing and other specialities (maintenance, control command, utilities, etc.)
    • Coordinate the fulfilment of the long term mining plans of the different mining sites
    • Develop new mining and ore treatment technologies and analysis methods
    • Manage the implementation of operational excellence culture within AREVA Mines and its subsidiaries
  • Cominak (Areva Niger) - Operations Director

    2014 - 2017 Underground mine and treatment site of uranium ore (North Niger) – Turnover: 160 M€ / 1200 employees
    ➢ An underground mine, an ore treatment plant, a sulfuric acid plant and a power plant
    ➢ 28 managers including 8 expatriates, 130 technicians, 730 skilled workers and 300 subcontractors.

    Missions:
    • In a low prices context, to optimize organizations and increase performances to keep as low as possible the production cost and to maximize savings
    • Develop strategies to increase the lifetime of the ore deposit
    • Define and deploy a performance culture within the different teams
    • Setup, organize and launch the rehabilitation plan of the mining site

    • Ensure the ramp up of the different capacity increase projects to reach nominal project target (4000 tU/year)
    • Define and implement the means and organization to reduce production cost in a high inflation context
    • Manage the technical acceptance of all sales deliveries with customers (China State companies)

    The COMINAK plant is made up of:
    * An ore treatment unit producing yellow cake and a sulphuric acid plant
    * 7 engineers including 3 expatriates, 28 technicians, 170 skilled workers and 45 subcontractors.

    Missions:
    * Implement OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 standards ;
    * In a high uranium demand context, maximize industrial performances
    * Define the investments needed to ensure the plant performances continuity for the next 15 years and implement them within the next 2 years.
