En résumé

AICHA is a multi-disciplinary research project involving Indian and French scientists in the fields of agronomy, hydrology and economics. It aims at developing an integrated model for analyzing the impact of climate change on groundwater irrigated agriculture of Southern India. The project explore adaptation strategies by considering a range of scenarios based on innovative agricultural systems and water resource management policies, to be tested at the farm and at the watershed scale. The methodology combines remote sensing, field surveys and advanced numerical analysis with hydrological, agronomical and economic modelling, and pay a particular attention to sustainability, vulnerability and acceptability issues.
I am in charge of developing the conceptual and computerized model for decision-making processes of farmers for the AICHA project. The decision model is interacting with biophysical models (AMBHAS and STICS) and external systems (weather, prices, labor).
