My sculptures are for me a reminder. In our so-called modern and evolved cultures, are we capable of passing down the cult of ceremonial objects or at least symbolic object? The columns that I sculpt are beyond what we see, much closer to prayer wheels which unroll as much the intrinsic value of the artistic work, than the almost omitted exchanges between form and function, between sensibility and affect. They incarnate a rightful expression in the relative space: between art object and perception. The ideas and meanings accredited to these sculptures can take a utilitarian and an aesthetic dimension. I really conceive my work both on an equally artistic and functional point of view.
