    * Spatial planning, solar and wind: For policy makers and investors, production of regional geospatial analyses for future tenders and tarriffs - identification of zones (West Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and South East Europe). (solar and wind energy, ongrid and offgrid).

    * Policy analysis and recommendations: Assessment of the wind energy policies for 12 countries for the last 30 years and production of policy advices, trends and good practices in creating enabling environments for renewable energy technologies.

    * Integration of RES into the grid: Development of the Africa Energy Corridors, including addressing the shortcomings of energy policies; planning in terms of renewable energy capacities, zoning sites for potential auctions.

    * Financial analysis: Conceived and developed advanced cost-effective methods to assess the bankability of potential renewable energy sites. Produced bankability analysis for ongoing wind energy tenders in e.g. Cape Verde. Lead a team of 10 project managers, specialized in wind energy. Day-to-day supervision of up to 7 European-funded projects on e.g. policy advice, environmental impact assessment, offshore wind, grid integration, market integration.

    * Policy advice regarding grid integration, regional integration: Assessed the integration of 300 GW of wind power to the EU-electricity grid; including policy recommendations for wind power integration and exchange in the trans-European power markets; and complementary analyses on the impact of wind power on the EU-electricity prices, due to the merit-order effect;

    * Policy advice on the European Innovation Strategy: Assessment of the feasibility of very large wind turbines (10 MW and more), which helped accelerate technology innovation to the levels we are today;

    * Policy advice regarding legislative gaps and barriers to the deployment of large scale wind power in the EU-27, in line with the 2020 targets; analyses of the EU offshore wind industry and policy advices on the creation of an offshore SuperGrid in the North Sea.

    * Coordination of stakeholder engagement: Design and coordination of the European Wind Energy Technology Platform (200 experts, 6 working groups - energy resource, grid integration, offshore wind, rotors, drivetrains, policy and markets). Recommendations to the European Commission and EU Member States formulated through the European Wind Energy Research Agenda and the EUR 6Bn European Wind Initiative to 2020.

    * For Thalès (former Alcatel Space): Created a methodology to model cities in 3 dimensions from high-resolution satellite images. Such 3D city-models are currently being used for urban planning, including for the creation of solar cadasters and simulatiing efficient solar policies and tarriffs to address the issue of energy access in fast-growing cities.
